In 1999, Emmon Bodfish was murdered in his home in the wealthy enclave of Orinda, California, just east of San Francisco. For the young crime-scene analyst Paul Holes, it quickly became the most bizarre and surprising case of his storied career.

It was immediately clear how Emmon had died: by being hit over the head with a heavy object. What wasn’t clear was who did it and why. This podcast had me hooked immediately! I found myself hoping that a neat and tidy conclusion would happen. The dedication of the people involved in the investigation is very admirable.

pulls you in at first with a strange story of a bunch of stuff. however the makers of the documentary really push to say that Max the son is the killer (even though it's a cold case and no evidence of max was found there). I likes the concept...and it's sure a weird story, but I felt they grasped at straws with the son.

It's good but slightly confusing
