Publisher's Summary

The Road Less Graveled is the account of a family that escapes a collapsing economy and the overscheduled American lifestyle, at least temporarily, by following their dreams to Italy. Part Tuscan idyll and part cautionary tale, Wendy Laird’s latest Kindle Single tells the flip-side story of expat existence, what it takes to make it happen, and how a life on a well-mapped trajectory can veer off course in the process. Laird’s beautiful prose and acerbic wit keep the book, if not her own agenda, on the right track.

This has opened my mind to adventure.

Feel the fear and do it anyway. A beautiful story with and about yourself and family of choice. Reality of discovery about life, freedom, hard choices, and reaffirming why it must have been done. You feel their pain, struggle and acceptence. Their growth was hard fought, yet chosen and rewarded. Many life lessons learned and cherished. I absolutely loved the book. I have read it three times and listened to it once told by the author. Each read I have been so connected to their choice of adventure and why they chose to live in Italy for a year. All said and done the growth and acceptence of their reality and growth is so touching , the courage it took to face and achieve their goal. Read this with openess and feel what is being said verbal or written.
