Publisher's Summary
Four months after the explosion at the Garden, a place where young women known as the Butterflies were kept captive, FBI agents Brandon Eddison, Victor Hanoverian, and Mercedes Ramirez are still entrenched in the aftermath, helping survivors in the process of adjusting to life on the outside. With winter coming to an end, the Butterflies have longer, warmer days of healing ahead. But for the agents, the impending thaw means one gruesome thing: a chilling guarantee that somewhere in the country, another young woman will turn up dead in a church with her throat slit and her body surrounded by flowers.
Priya Sravasti's sister fell victim to the killer years ago. Now she and her mother move every few months, hoping for a new beginning. But when she ends up in the madman's crosshairs, the hunt takes on new urgency. Only with Priya's help can the killer be found - but will her desperate hope for closure compel her to put her very life on the line?

disappointment
what a lackluster sequel to a good novel. this sequel is so drab and lacking tension, that it was a struggle to get through. I kept hoping it would pick up at least towards the end... and then it just finished.

Not what I had expected
I really had high hopes for this book because I absolutely loved The Butterfly Garden! I was pretty disappointed to see how short it fell to the first book. Most of it was repetitive and boring. I think if the POV had been from the killer instead it would have made the whole book so much better. Will Damron did a fantastic job! His voice for the killer gave me chills! Siiri's narration on the other hand sounded robotic and stunted. There were some parts of the book that were heartbreaking, but she read them completely emotionless. I couldn't get into her sections. That made it hard to rate the performance. I would easily give Will Damron 5 stars, but I would give Siiri 1 star.

Boring
Words can't describe how disappointing this book is. The butterfly garden was amazing. This one not at all.

Sorry to say I was disappointed in the book.. it was very slow and a lot of bouncing around.. I thought it would be more about the butterflies so I was disappointed bouncing from two completely different stories!!

The Roses of May 😴
If you could sum up The Roses of May in three words, what would they be?
DISAPPOINTING, CONFUSION, REPETITIVE
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
NO
What does Siiri Scott and Will Damron bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
UNFORTUNATELY, NO AND I THINK THAT'S BECAUSE OF THE STORY NOT THEM
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
SKIP THE SEQUEL...😬
Any additional comments?
AS WITH ANY EXCELLENT BOOK, MOVIE, ETC. WE ALWAYS EXPECT TOO MUCH OUT OF THE SEQUEL . AT LEAST I DID! SINCE THIS IS A TRILOGY, LETS HOPE SHE TAKES HER TIME AND "KICKS A-- WITH THE THIRD. I LOVED BUTTERFLY!!!! 😬. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

Very predictable story line. Was a disappointment
after the first book. The female narrator is distracting trying to change her voices. Disappointment.

The Roses of May
This book did not match her first book. I was sadly disappointed. I couldn’t get into the book until half way through. Then it didn’t really hold my attention. There were too many strange names and I had trouble following who’s who. I didn’t care for the voices of the readers either. I kept comparing them to the readers of the first book. I found myself in the first book saying” oh I can relate to that” where this book left me struggling to finish a chapter.
I don’t give up easily, so I downloaded her 3rd book.

Good but not butterflies
I had to read this one as part of the collector trilogy. I found the butterfly garden totally captivating. While roses of may is good, it doesn't measure up to the butterfly garden. Definitely recommend it's creepiness though.

Not like the Butterflies
While I enjoyed the book, it certainly didn't compare to the first book, The Butterfly Gardens. It lacked the thrills and excitement of the first book.

Highly disappointed with this book. I don't even care to listen to the third. Such a shame too, the first book was amazing

Great book, wonderful writing. You need to read!
Roses of May the second in the Collector Trilogy. The first being the butterfly garden. Even tho I figured out who half way through, the story was so good. The fluid writing, the thorough explication and details without overloading, and the small insertion of the girls from the garden giving us some closure with them. And Omg Her Mother, I love her! Love these books can't wait for the next one.
