Publisher's Summary
With more than 20 million books sold, Brian Jacques’ acclaimed Redwall series has become the stuff of legend. In this 21st swashbuckling entry, Vilaya the Sable Quean and her henchman Zwilt the Shade set their evil sights on Redwall Abbey. But also headed toward the abbey is Buckler, Blademaster of the Long Patrol—a brave hare perfectly suited to hero status.

Wonderful book, I love love love this series
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I would definitely recommend this audiobook to a friend. It was a great story, told from the author's mind with his voice giving life to the story. AMAZING!!! There is one negative though as the last few minutes of the book simply didn't exist in the recording. BIG problem.
Who was your favorite character and why?
favorite character? Seriously? hmmm I suppose IF I had to choose only one I might choose Mumzy.
Any additional comments?
My only negative, which is a pretty BIG negative. The last three minutes of the book were not there!!! I would have been beyond ticked off if I didn't have the physical book here with me, but having the physical book and NEEDING to look up the end totally negates the point of an audiobook, doesn't it?????

Another win
Brian Jacques's full cast of narrated stories are so fun to listen to. Took on my trip to Florida and back to Tennessee - and it passed the time wonderfully. All the trademark Redwall aspects were there: adventure, kindness, bad-guys, and descriptions of food that make you want to visit - but what exactly is 'dandelion cordial'? Not sure, but it sounds fantastic.
I have noticed, though, that the general religious outlook of the characters is more of an almost Tribal/Indian approach - where all are good naturally, and that they do good things because nature, the earth, calls for it.
4 stars for a good book.

One of his best
Sable Quean was one of his last books along with Rogue Crew and they are both some of h>d best in my opinion. It has a delicious mix of mystery, plot twists, action and always good food. One of my absolute favorites. On the negative side, the voices of a couple of the hedgehogs are difficult to listen to.

Swilt vs Buckler
A great story but swilt’s death is a slight bit disappointing as a great story must have the hero about to lose but then somehow manages to win. Still a fantastic book.
