Family Mystery

The San Francisco Connection is a short book that I listened to in audiobook format. It’s about a father-daughter detective team. The daughter is newly graduated from college and as she joins her father’s detective agency, I enjoyed their close family-relationship dynamics. The case that they are on is interesting at times and gets introduced to the reader quickly. The narrator was enjoyable, although there were some repeated lines in a few different locations which I tried to look past. There are parts of the story that were enjoyable. If it were longer, I might have become too impatient to complete it, but the length was well suited to consume in one bite. Since this is book one of a series, I think the stories will only get better because of the firm foundation that the author created in the main characters and their back stories. All in all, I’m glad I read it.
