Publisher's Summary
Morgan Thompson likes her life just fine. She has a tight-knit family, two opinionated cats, and her job as office manager for her brother Perry’s medical practice. Perry’s an eligible bachelor, but his divorce left him gun-shy, so Morgan has fun tweaking his responses to potential dates online, using her affinity for words to make him sound impressive. When new pharmaceutical rep Zoe Blake walks into his office, though, he’s smitten, and he needs Morgan more than ever.
Zoe is beautiful and a little mysterious, and doesn’t seem terribly interested in Perry. Morgan decides she’ll need to get to know Zoe before she plays matchmaker. But soon, she’s talking books and movies and writing to her as Perry, and the more she knows, the more she wants to know, until she begins to wonder: Is she wooing Zoe for her brother? Or for herself?

Who else thinks Georgia should have narrated this?
This is the first time I've listened to this narrator and the whole time I listened I just kept thinking it would have been perfect read by the author herself. (just like in Starting From Scratch) She would have been perfect! The story was cute and pretty predictable but I still enjoyed it.

Beers’ wonderful universe
Another gem of a take on upstate New York.
An easy going Cyrano light pairing develops over golf, drinks, and actual conversation. The romance novel pattern of a hurdle seems a little forced but I didn’t mind one bit as this particular storytelling technique held my interest and I forgave it. I will say, I miss the Lori Prince take on the universe as at times it wasn’t as easy to tell the two leads apart vocally. Can’t wait for the next Beers’ book.

Eh
I love Georgia Beers’ work and I had hoped the writing would be strong enough to get past the sub par narration I had anticipated from AJ Ferraro but alas it was not meant to be this needed an Angela Dawe or Abby Craden

Classic with a twist.
You can’t not love Georgia Beers’ books, and this one was not only prose it included poetry, and I loved it.
AJ Ferraro brought it to life and I loved that as well.
All in all: get it, listen to it and love it.

What a wonderful book!
George Beers has done it once again! An enthralling book with witty banter, lovable MCs, tons of chemistry, and a romantic first kiss. Only negative, and it’s really my issue, I’m just not a big fan of the narrator. I have a hard time distinguishing which MC is speaking a lot of the time. Know it’s my hearing and probably not a problem for most people.

Great story! But Really didn’t like the narrator.
Why pick this person to read an audio book? Her lisp totally ruined the sexiness of an otherwise fantastic story. At one point in the story Zoe talks about how sexy and gravelly Morgan’s voice is and I was just like laughing cause the readers voice is sooooo not that. Why! Just why!

Love Georgia Beers, hated the narrator
I had high hopes for this latest book, but I could not stand the narrator. I honestly had trouble even finishing it. I’m sure the characters would have been more believable, and “real” but the narrator did not do them justice.
Will have to read the book myself.

Worth a credit
Story was pretty good. Liked both MCs, which is important to me. No unnecessary drama, likable supporting characters. Narration wasn’t bad…Some parts could have benefited from more of an emotional investment on the narrator’s part, and one of the side characters’ voices sounded a bit off from the description, but I would listen to more books with this narrator, no problem.

Morgan's Secret Word Meant For Morgan
Story was great, not so much the narrator. She didn't fit. Beers knows Lesbian love.

it was a good story but I really hated Morgan's brother. it was a little frustrating how she wouldn't speak up for herself.

Flat....
Annoying self-centered MC (with a dash of entitlement). No chemistry between the leads... while I don't mind fomulaic I do mind boring and that was a snooze fest (at least for me).
The narration was ok, but it might not appeal to everyone.
I've enjoyed other books from this author but this one is a miss as far as I'm concerned.
