Sarah Garland, a retired homicide detective who's gone through a painful divorce, seems to have found her peace at last, as a coffeeshop owner in the sleepy (and freezing) small town of Snow Falls, Alaska. So glad that I gave this novella a chance

You know what, I enjoyed The Snowman Killer a lot more than I thought I would.

While it was a short novella, I felt that the author did a sufficient job at building suspense from the first page - although I'd be lying if I said that the ending didn't feel a tiny bit rushed.

I was unsure of Sheree Wichard as the narrator at first, but after a while, I adjusted and felt that she did an above average job at telling the story.

As for the characters, there isn't a lot to report after the few hours I spent with them, other than to say that they grew on me; despite their early interactions being slightly awkward seeming.

Overall, I am incredibly glad that I took a chance on Wendy Meadows' The Snowman Killer. I hope that the rest of the Alaska Cozy Mystery Series comes to Audible in the near future.
