Publisher's Summary

Standalone M/M romance novel.

I was afraid to fly. He made me soar. After years of climbing the ladder of success in the music industry, I finally had everything I could want. Yet I still found myself wandering through life alone. Captain Evan Roth was the one man I never saw coming. Tall, dark, mysterious...Straight. We were both damaged beyond repair and searching for something so elusive we weren't sure it even existed. But, when two broken souls collide in midair, falling is a given. I just never expected to crave the spiral down.

My Godzilla

Henry is the mega star friend of Levee, from book 1. Lonely and self isolated, Henry very rarely faces his fear of flying after a very scary close call however sometimes it’s unavoidable. This is how he meets pilot, Evan Roth. Evan has his own host of issues that equate to them being lost to each other.

The two of them are what happen when a plane implodes and starts the spiral down. However they are their own act of God and manage to save each other before a crash landing. The level of sweet and savory that you get from this story makes for the most well balanced book I could hope for. Though Evan and Henry had issues, they didn’t have miscommunication as what is found in so many books right now, there is just heart ache from an inability to come together. It makes this HEA so completely rewarding.

All Martinez balanced this series so much differently than other books. Usually it’s 20% intro 60% conflict and 20% resolution. Aly is more 40% intro and 40% conflict and 20% resolution and it makes you adore her characters so much more. You just latch on and you know them so much more as well. I really appreciated that about this book and The Fall Up. It was so refreshing.

Aiden Snow and Teddy Hamilton are nothing short of amazing. They bring to life characters that needed individuality. Just because they are 2 male characters doesn’t mean you can use one male narrator and I’m glad Aly got that. It was awesome narration and an awesome book.

Enjoyable listen with fantastic narration

Aly Martinez is a new to me author. I love MM reads and am a sucker for anything that is narrated by Teddy Hamilton so I gave this one a go. The Spiral Down was a well developed read laced with true emotion and heartbreak. I will say several times I was thoroughly annoyed with them both, but their journey was an enjoyable one to experience. Aiden Snow is a new to me narrator and his performance was really good.

Another AMAZING Aly Martinez Book!

I have read a lot of Aly Martinez's books and I have to be honest this may be one of her best. The love story between these two is so well written. I love the character development and getting to know both Evan and Henry, plus I love the background characters of Levee, Sam, Robin and Carter. I will for sure be reading more Aly Martinez and hope she writes more MM books.

Narrators... WELL.... I mean this was a great casting. Both of them made this book that much better for me. Aiden Snow and Teddy Hamilton made this audio book for me. THANK YOU Aly, Aiden and Teddy!!!

Well then!

I was pleasantly surprised! Decent story, even if there was a couple hours that had me constantly thinking how idiotic the pair was. Overall, I ended up really enjoying this even with little nit picky bits here and there. Very sweet.

Fly high, Rock Star. Fly. High.

Henry is a rockstar. He's openly gay and he's not afraid of going after what he wants.
He is, however, afraid to fly.

Evan is a pilot. He's, for all appearances, straight. He hasn't wanted anything more than a fling since he had his heart broken years ago. He's ready for more, but he doesn't realize it until he's hired to fly Henry.

These two are a force. The chemistry is off the charts. The relationship is fun. The struggles are real. They aren't jumping into things, but they aren't staying away from each other either.

They're sexy and sweet and complicated. They're more than they seem.

This is not my first MM. This is not my first Aly Martinez. I'm a fan of both. Aly brings these two men to life and gives them a love worth fighting for. They are worth the struggles and the love. They are perfect for each other and I thank Aly Martinez for giving us characters who feel real.

Heart-achingly Beautiful

This is the first time I’ve read or listened to a Aly Martinez book, but it won’t be my last. I am so in love with this book. It was everything I hoped and more. When I was scrolling through Audible and spotted a book narrated by Aiden Snow and Teddy Hamilton I jumped at the chance to listen to it - dream team right there. Having spent the day listening to the book I have to say that I love Aly’s writing, I was doing so well until the last couple of chapters and then I shed a couple of tears - I couldn’t help it, dammit! My cold heart was cracked by this couple and how they had to try and overcome their hang ups to be together. I also had a number of laugh out loud moments - you know it’s bad when your dog starts giving you the side-eye like you’re crazy. I went in on book 2, seeing as it was a standalone, I don’t feel I missed out by not reading book 1 first, however, I hadn’t even finished this one before I was back on Audible buying book 1 - I wanted to spend more time with some of these characters.

Speaking of characters, I have so much love for them. Evan and Henry both had issues that they needed to overcome. They were frustrating at times, but lovable. I was rooting for them the whole time. The way their relationship progressed and how they grew as people was really beautiful to experience. The chemistry between them was jumping through the headphones...that is, when the sexual energy was melting them. The epilogue made my heart soar, it was the perfect ending for this couple, with a message that more people should understand. I thought the support characters were a fantastic addition. I’m looking forward to diving into Sam and Levee’s story. I hope we get stories for Scott, and Carter and Robin in the future.

Aiden Snow and Teddy Hamilton *insert all the heart eyes* were amazing. I do not use that word lightly, I was completely lost in this story and their performances. It was heart-achingly beautiful. They both have very distinct voices and it worked so well, I had just finished saying how dual was my least favourite style of narration, and then I listened to this book and I take all the words back. Aiden and Teddy proved me wrong, they captivated me and I was lost in their voices. I listened to this book in one go, once I started I just couldn’t pull myself away. Each character was unique and easily identifiable. The emotion, man, the emotion they put into their voices *swoon* I could not imagine this book having any other voice, they were perfect as Henry and Evan. The casting gods were smiling down on us. The production was wonderful with no issues that I noted.
