This was the worst
I had listened to quite a few of these WoW stories and enjoyed all of them, until I got to this one.
The cover art was great, the story started well. Then we hit one of several chapters where there was dialogue between the gnolls. Heaven help me, I almost destroyed my earphones while listening to this drivel.
I get it, the author was trying to be faithful to the pidgin english of the gnolls. However, in a story format this just doesn't work. Maybe if it was brief, but this went on and on and on.
I pushed through 1-2 chapters, unfortunately I found this part of the story incredibly irritating and frustrating.
It was hard to follow the conversation and after 2 chapters of this I lost interest in the story and the entire book.
It would be great to see future authors tackle this gnoll pidgin english in a way that doesn't alienate the reader.
I can't criticise the narrator here, he didn't write the story and his performances were great.

Great story and presentation
This series is swiftly becoming my favorite of the Warcraft group. Exploring much more of the world and the creatures in it. A very immersive experience.

The story continues...
A wonderful extension of the story with a great cliffhanger ending! The same cast of heroes and villains with nice insight into what the creatures of WoW think and feel when not battling players. i am very much looking forward to the next book in this series.

Better than the first.
Definitely better than the first book. With most of the main characters background established this book flowed better and had several action sequences and even a bit of mystery. I found myself captivated and pulled into this novel. There is one chapter that is approximately 20 minutes long where the Gnoll character explains his background. That particular chapter is extremely annoying, but other than that this is a fantastic book.

A great sequel!
If this book was read in the voice of Sprinkle Noggenfogger, I would not object lol! I loved the character development and the relationship maturing between new siblings Aram and Makasa. Ramón De Ocampo is a brilliant narrator. You will enjoy this book!
