Publisher's Summary

"If you understand completely what I am going to tell you, from this moment on, your life will never be the same again." -Earl Nightingale

This amazing message was first played for a group of salespeople at Earl Nightingale's insurance agency. They were utterly electrified. Word of it spread like wildfire, and everyone who heard it was positively ignited into action. Requests for a recording of the message came pouring in - thousands of requests per week. Within no time, more than 200,000 people had called, written, or just walked right into Earl's office to request a copy. As years went by, that number soared above 1,000,000. Today, more than 40 years later, The Strangest Secret remains one of the most powerful and influential messages ever recorded. It continues to transform the lives of everyone who hears and heeds it.

Greatness

I enjoyed listening to these older materials. The concepts are the same of what's needed in order to be successful in business. Putting the customers and employees first or people in general is the key to success in any business.

Classic Recording for Motivation and Success

The first 30 minutes are superb. There is a short middle section about the company that created the recording and then the third part is an interview that is excellent as well. The third part is very different than the first part but you can really hear a lot of wisdom in that excellent interview. For the cost and the time commitment for this short recording, the investment returns should be exponential if you are a person who truly is willing to take action to achieve your definition of success.

Act as if it's impossible to fail.

Quotes to live by:

Success is not the Result of making Money;
Making money is the Result of Success.

No Man can get Rich by himself, unless he Enriches others

Favorite moments when listening to the Audiobook :
Above all, don't Worry.
Worry Brings Fear
and Fear is crippling

Know that all you have to do is to hold your goal before you.
Everything else will take care of itself.

Remember also to keep calm and cheerful,
don't let petty things annoy you and get you off course.

You must reap that which you sow.
If you sow negative thoughts, your life will be filled with negative things
If you sow positive thoughts, your life will be cheerful, successful and positive.

That to make money, we must understand the law.

Here is the LAW:
The only way to earn money is by providing people with services or product which are needed or useful.

We exchange our service or product for the other mans Money.
Therefore, the law is that: our financial return will be in direct proportion to our service.
Ie: if we put a lot of time into *developing a valuable skillset* which converts into a highly demanded and useful service, we can exchange our service

The Truth is that you can only earn money after you are successful.

It's like the story of the man who sat in front of the stove and said :
give me heat and then i'll add the wood.

That there are millions of men & woman today who take the same attitude towards life.
We've got to put the fuel in, before we can expect Heat.
Likewise, we've got to be of service first, before we can expect money.

Prosperity is founded upon a law of mutual exchange.
Any person who contributes to prosperity must prosper in turn himself.
Sometimes the return will not come to you from those you serve, but it must come to you from some place.... for that is the law.

that our success will be measured by the quality and quantity of service we render, and money is a yardstick for measuring this service.

Understanding that:
we have built in barriers that keep us from getting the things that we really want.
we have self-imposed restrictions that hold us back.
Unless we can identify and destroy these barriers, we'll never truly live the life we dream
