À propos de cet audio

This highly anticipated follow-up to The Will of the Many—one of 2023’s most lauded and best-selling fantasy novels—follows Vis as he grapples with a dangerous secret that could unravel history across alternate dimensions.

Omne trium perfectum

The Hierarchy still call me Vis Telimus. Still hail me as Catenicus. They still, as one, believe they know who I am.

But with all that has happened—with what I fear is coming—I am not sure it matters anymore.

I am no longer one. I won the Iudicium and lost everything—and now, impossibly, the ancient device beyond the Labyrinth has replicated me across three separate worlds. A different version of myself in each of Obiteum, Luceum, and Res. Three different bodies, three different lives. I have to hide; fight; play politics. I have to train; trust; lie. I have to kill; heal; prove myself again, and again, and again.

I am loved, and hated, and entirely alone.

Above all, though, I need to find answers before it’s too late. To understand the nature of what has happened to me and why.

I need to find a way to stop the coming Cataclysm, because if all I have learned is true, I may be the only one who can.

Although there were still great moments in this sequel, I did struggle with the three different realms. sometimes complicated stuff happened in one realm, but then your taken back to Res and its hard to remember what was really going on.

Also charecter deaths just fell flat for me. Although I liked some of the charecters, because we didnt have a ton of time with them in this book, it just didnt impact me as it should have.

Hopefully book 3 respons well!

Still good but a step back from book one.

I was pleasantly surprised how well written and easy to follow the three separate stories were. I thought I would be confused on what version of Diego’s story is being told, but it wasn’t. Even without being told which version is being represented, it was easy to differentiate. Each story was a fascinating listen and I’m excited for book 3.

Extremely captivating

The world building was intricate and intriguing, the pacing was excellent. I almost wish that it was longer, or split into more seperate books to really give each world's story more depth.

Moving and inspiring, well-crafted all around. I can't wait for the finale!!

11/10 read, would recommend

Excellent Sequel!

best second book I've gone through in a while (possibly ever). My only complaint is that there is no indicator, as there is in the book, of which world we are in when the chapter starts.

magnificent second installment.

When I started WOTM, I was very put off by many poor reviews for its recent sequel, this book, but after completing it, I loved it. My only gripe is one perspective (O) dragged much more than the others, but it was necessary for giving us a base knowledge, and largely those chapters didn’t didn’t hold that long whilst the other perspectives were hitting strides. Loved the inclusion of the other settings, the Roman aesthetic was a pretty cool setting but adding the other two was very intriguing.

Great follow up to the WOTM
