Stefan Rudnicki continues to prove he’s one of the best narrators in the business, bringing to life this interesting premise: a medieval private investigator on the hunt to solve a murder mystery…and solve some of his own inner turmoil along the way.

A great cast of characters and a solid mystery lead to some deep internal revelations for our hero, Eddie Lacrosse the veteran sword jockey. He’s uncovering other people’s pasts and might just be forced to look into his…like it or not.

Fun book. Solid setup to the sequel. Looking forward to continuing the series.

I love that it’s a fantasy genre book series with regular names of the heroes. Honestly a fresh take and I’m here for it.
