Story
Hi, my name is Bree Camden, and I’m hopelessly in love with my best friend and star quarterback Nathan Donelson (so is half of America, judging by the tabloids and how much the guy dates). The first step is admitting it, right? Except, I can never admit it to him because he clearly doesn’t see me that way, and the last thing I want is for things to get weird between us. Nothing but good old-fashioned no-touching-the-sexiest-man-alive platonic friendship for us! Everything is exactly how I like it! Yes. Good. (I’m not crying; I’m just peeling an onion.)

Story
I have found rock bottom: moving in with my older brother because I’m too broke to afford to live on my own. It’s okay though, because we’ve always been close and I think I’m going to have fun living with him again. That is, until I meet Cooper.... Turns out, my brother has very strong opinions on the idea of me dating his best friend - he’s dead set against it. According to him, Cooper is everything I should stay away from: flirtatious, adventurous, noncommittal, and freaking hot. (I added that last part because I feel like you need the whole picture.)

Having worked for Southern Service Paws for a few years now, I like to think I’m prepared for just about any client meeting under the sun. I am dead wrong. The day I meet with single dad Jacob Broaden about potentially matching his daughter with one of our service dogs, I learn a few valuable lessons. 1) Always set my alarm clock. 2) Single dads are way hotter than I previously thought. 3) It is possible to go from fantasizing about kissing someone to wishing they would be run over by a truck in a matter of two minutes.

Story
Ryan Henderson is back in town for our best friends’ wedding, and I plan on showing him exactly how much I don’t care about him—or the almost kiss he dangled over me after graduation. But things have changed since then. I'm a successful bakery owner now, and I plan to rub every delicious detail of my life in his ugly face. There’s just one problem: his face is gorgeous. I have to stay strong until the wedding is over and Ryan scurries back into whatever universe he escaped from. His interest in me is nothing but a continuation of the games we played in high school...right?

Savannah Cade’s dreams are coming true. The Claire Donovan, editor-in-chief of the most successful romance publishing company in the country, has requested to see the manuscript Savannah’s been secretly writing. The only problem: she’s an editor for a different company, and their philosophy is only highbrow works are worth printing and romance should be reserved for the lowest level of Dante’s inferno. But when Savannah drops her manuscript during a staff meeting and nearly exposes herself to the whole company, she has no choice but to hide the manuscript in a hidden room.

Everyone hates parts of their job. Maybe it’s the paperwork. Maybe it’s the day-to-day grind. Maybe it’s that client who never knows what they want or the guy who always cooks fish in the microwave. But not me. I love every corner of the Longbourne Flower Shop, every flower, every petal, every stem. I love the greenhouse, and I love Mrs. Bennet, my boss. I love creating, and I love being a florist. I don’t hate anything at all. Except for Luke Bennet. The Bennet brothers have come home to help their mom save the flower shop, and Luke is at the helm.

When Noah Walker finds Amelia on his front lawn in her broken-down car, he makes it clear he doesn’t have the time or patience for celebrity problems. Breaking news: The bad boy of baseball, Maddox Paige, is totally and utterly whipped. Okay, that might not be the headline in the newspaper this morning, but it's the reality of my current situation. It all started a month ago when I received a call from my best friend, Kinsley. She’d gotten a new job in Chicago and needed a place to stay. I've known the girl since I was five, so I figured there wouldn't be any harm in having her stay at my place for a while. Ha! Total disaster.

I got the dreaded phone call, the one every baseball player hopes and prays never comes. I was traded - yeah, that phone call - traded from my longtime team of over 10 years to not just any team...to my childhood rivals, the Chicago Rebels. I was completely and utterly screwed, right? Wrong. The trade was the least of my concerns. I met a girl, Natalie. She was perfect, but I swore I would never get involved with anyone during the season. It was too complicated. But can you believe I had zero restraint when it came to this girl?

Publisher's Summary
Drew Marshall may have let me move into his spare bedroom while my house is being renovated, but don’t think for one second his kindness comes without strings - big, ugly fake-relationship strings.
That’s okay, though, Dr. Andrew. I’ll agree to your terms, move into your house, and act like your girlfriend when the big day comes, but I also plan to make your life miserable - make you pay for what you did to me.
I may not be good at forgiving or forgetting, but I’m excellent at getting even.

Cute book
It was a cute story, overall I enjoyed listening. That being said the performances by the narrators were way too over the top to be believable. It got to a point where I questioned if I wanted to continue listening as I found myself cringing a few times. The only other thing that bothered me was the constant use of the word Granddaddy.

Funny but over the top and got irritating
I thought the story had some interesting deviations from a common trope. Jessica and Drew’s juvenile persistently bad attitude toward each other got a bit tedious. Jessica had major hang ups with trust and lack of forgiveness that made their war go on and on. I have a hard time believing Drew’s character as a practicing OB-Gyn physician getting in juvenile arguments and hurtful prank war with a grown pregnant woman, much less them ending up together. The story had some humor that may have marginally saved it. The performance actors were Ok.

Its a very cute book. Fun to listen to & kept my attention. Jessie can be a bit obnoxious at times because of her immaturity though. I liked Drew though 👍🏼

I listened to find out what happened next painfully
I was committed to hearing this book out, but it was painfully strung out. The main female character was over the top irritatingly nasty about the male main character. He voice performance was strained with character tension. I just wanted the book to end. The ending was a welcomed relief. The ending was good.

Sizzle with the spice.
I loved this book. The pranks and war against each other was fun. The interaction between Drew & Jess made me what a fan at times but it’s still closed door. I love the single parent rep. & and how attentive Drew is as a Dr. once I got started I couldn’t put this one down. The narrator’s were great.

Save your credit
I really liked the first one in the series The Off Limits Rule, but this one is terrible.
The heroine is as immature as an 11 year old boy. The male narrator sounds like he is shouting at you. I’m also pretty sure if there is a soundtrack in Hell, it will be comprised of the two narrators speaking exclusively in horrible southern accents that they used for this book.
