while I definitely enjoyed this title, it was... not quite enough. the second half is significantly better, being left alone with kadia's inner monologue and suddenly ignoring the story was jarring and an extremely bold choice. really by the time it felt like we were moving again the book was almost over. i am excited to see what happens in the fouth tail, though hopefully the next book is a little more coherent in how it chooses to tackle its plot points.

Spent the first half of the book bored, and then the 2nd half frustrated. Feels like you are sitting through hours of blatant manipulation and gaslighting.

The events here are important for the storyline, but I am overall unhappy with this books decisions.
