Publisher's Summary

The fifth and final installment of the number one New York Times best-selling Trials of Apollo series has Lester and Meg returning to where it all began: Camp Half-Blood.

At last, the breathtaking, action-packed finale of the number one best-selling Trials of Apollo series is here! Will the Greek god Apollo, cast down to earth in the pathetic moral form of a teenager named Lester Papadopoulos, finally regain his place on Mount Olympus?

Lester's demigod friends at Camp Jupiter just helped him survive attacks from bloodthirsty ghouls, an evil Roman king and his army of the undead, and the lethal emperors Caligula and Commodus. Now the former god and his demigod master Meg must follow a prophecy uncovered by Ella the harpy. Lester's final challenge will be at the Tower of Nero, back in New York.

Will Meg have a last showdown with her father? Will this helpless form of Apollo have to face his arch nemesis, Python? Who will be on hand at Camp Half-Blood to assist? These questions and more will be answered in this book that all demigods are eagerly awaiting.

I loved this 5th audio book!

The 5th book is amazing, but it was too short still I loved from the beginning to the end.

Absolutely excellent ending for the CHBC

I don’t know what to say. At 22 years old, and 14 of those years being an avid and bear obsessive fan of Rick Riordan’s works, I am at a loss to explain the absolute hailstorm of emotions I’m having right now, at the end of the Camp Half-Blood Chronicles. All I can say with out spoilers is just wow. I am sitting in my bed, crying as I write this. Thank you Rick for being a man with such amazing stories. Not many authors can say that their books will follow their readers through childhood to adolescence, to adulthood. But in my case I can say that these characters have truly been the best parts of my life. It’s like watching a sibling grow up before your eyes and then move away to college. Rick, thank you for your stories. They will forever be a part of my life, and always in my heart. Thank you.

could be a little longer

I enjoyed the story but it ended way too soon. I feel it could had more depth. But I'm just an old man and this is a book for kids.

Another great story

Another great story from Uncle Rick. This is said to be the final book, yet he leaves a cliffhanger ending of sorts. Love that we see more of some lesser but favorite characters. Also looks like he took popular head canons from his fan base and made them canon, which was totally awesome!

Python is the true enemy

Rick Riordan’s message of Python’s wickedness reveals his true love for object oriented programming languages. Perfect.

Excellent

I loved the way Rick Riordan writes. Probably one of his best books. This was a great conclusion to the trials of Apollo and definitely worth reading. I would recommend this book who loves adventures, tragedy, and comedy. I really hope that there will be more books by Rick Riordan soon because I am dying to read more.

Great book except for Meg

Like every other book by Rick Riordan I immensely enjoy each and every chapter however after five books of Meg and Apollo, I can still safely say that Meg is annoying and had little to no character development

perfect conclusion

I went from disliking Apollo to loving him like a sibling by the end of the novel.

he's done it again!

I'm a 44 year old mom of 3 teens, so not the target demographic for these books. but I love them so much!! it's sad to see it all end here - maybe, hopefully they'll all be back for more - but it was well done & I enjoyed all of these books so much. and, I could share it all with my kids, which makes it all the better! thank you, Mr Riordan, for these books!

I expected more

i have followed this series with an immense interest only to be slightly let down at the end. books 1-4 were amazing but i feel like this last one did not have the same substance. I expected to be captivated as usual and i found myself thinking about other things and have to rewind in order to find what i missed. do not gdt me wrong it is still a worth while read but it does not have the usual twists and turns ive come to love and expect. Also i must add that i do not feel like the narrator had his best performance and only read this to complete the series.
