Publisher's Summary

In the second book in the Baby for the Billionaire series, Drew Titan decides it's time to take a vacation at one of his exotic resorts. While he's there, he runs into Trinity Mathews, and the two of them have a steamy week-long romance - that is, until she finds out that he's the resort's owner and that he lied to her about it.

Having sworn off businessmen - since she's never been able to find one who knew how to stay faithful to her - she goes back home...only to discover that the first impulsive thing she has ever done has left her pregnant and alone. But then Drew shows up and won't go away until she agrees to marry him....

Last chance. This is not a nice review as it couches the h as a petulant child through most of the book.

Overall opinion: 1.5 Stars

The first 45 minutes or so was great until the unanticipated reveal of his title, then the h turned in to a 13 year old petulant brat! YES, THE H SHOULD HAVE BEEN HONEST ABOUT WHO HE WAS BUT lying about a job title is hardly world-ending.

The h gets pregnant but refuses to tell the H!
WHY DO ROMANCE AUTHORS NOT SEE THAT THIS IS A LIFE-CHANGING LIE? The h rails about the job-title lie yet sees nothing wrong in hiding the pregnancy from the father... Which is a serious lie of omission and contemptible.

Now the h decides she is going to accept the marriage proposal from her best friend, who is a guy she feels nothing for, essentially keeping him from finding the love of his life! Selfish much?

The H finds her, sees she is pregnant and talking marriage with another man and all she can do is whine and shut down... because his lie was so awful! Really... Pot/Kettle.

The H then goes 17 years old and decides they are going to get married, because he said so! All states should put a mental age requirement on anyone wanting to get married! A mental 17 year old marrying a mental 13 year old... No no no!

She argues and stomps her feet and he goes cavemen and tries demanding marriage - neither are successful.

As always though, when the man forcefully kisses the scorned and angry woman, she turns to jelly and loses her fight. Really! Female authors need to give women much more credit than always succumbing to their libido!

The h completely abandons reality and takes off like a hormonal 13 year old.

The H acts bitter and petulant, then turns into a wet, floppy doormat whenever the H turns on his sexual charms.

More items of note:
1. If a man slaps a woman, he is an abuser; however, the h slaps the H (though she does feel bad about it) and continues to think about hitting him again (not in a sexy way).

2. Ignoring the OBGYN, then getting attacked, then commenting about the Doctor being a sexist when he is more stern with her about taking better care of herself during the pregnancy.

3. This book and many in this genre... If a wealthy man wants to help with financial assistance, then woman throws a fit and goes on and on about wanting to do 'it' all on her own.

4. THE h's BEST FRIEND WAS A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS MAN THAT SHE LOVES LIKE A BROTHER AND IS WILLING TO RUIN HIS FUTURE BY MARRYING HIM! YOU KNOW, THE SAME TYPE OF PERSON SHE HATES AND HAS SWORN OFF FOR LIFE!

There is more but you get the point. This is no where near the series that the Barrington Billionaires was but I am crossing my fingers and reading the next book in the series.

Brief Summary: No need to expand on the author's summary.

Narrator(s) OK - maybe part of my issue is the breathless whining and tantrums of the h.

OMG

This story was a hit when it first came out. It was read by the average reader years ago and it took forever for the audible to be published. As a result, for many of the original readers, that ship has sailed. If more of the original readers knew this book was recently published, I believe there would be more reviews as it is a great, clean but sexy story with a great HEA. In my opinion, it was this series that put Melody Anne on the map. Trinity and Drew have chemistry from A to Z. She is feisty and he is a tenacious alpha. The supporting cast is quite lovable and kudos that it was finally published. The entire Tycoon series is money well spent when seeking sexy, handsome alpha men, strong smart beautiful women and adventure, misunderstanding, forgiveness, love and HEA's!

A worthy purchase for the dollars! Long overdue.......long overdue!

double billing

I've been a member of audible for many years, now I'm being required to use a credit or purchase books I have previously downloaded. To confirm when repurchased and downloaded the book shows finished. This for sure is a ripoff. Au

lovely book

Sweet story. Love this second installment. Drew is the most sensitive of the three cousins. Angst on both side seems to be the theme. Now on to Ryan's story:)

He had a lot to overcome, as far as she went.

As with his cousin from book one, we have a handsome billionaire, caught in a relationship with a woman that intrigues him.
For reasons that are made clear in the book, they seperate, not on the best of terms. She learns that she carries his child, which he does eventually find out about.
Okay, that's all I divulge, you need to read (or listen) to the complete story, in the author's words. It is so much better than my abbreviated rendition.

Annoyed

I only made it half way through the story before my annoyance with Trinity made me quit listening. I know she's supposed to have growth in the story, but she's just annoying stupid with her irrational logic. I'm sure there is a HEA, but I never made it.
