Annabeth is terrified. Just when she’s about to be reunited with Percy - after six months of being apart, thanks to Hera - it looks like Camp Jupiter is preparing for war. As Annabeth and her friends Jason, Piper, and Leo fly in on the Argo II, she can’t blame the Roman demigods for thinking the ship is a Greek weapon. With its steaming bronze dragon figurehead, Leo’s fantastical creation doesn’t appear friendly. Annabeth hopes that the sight of their praetor Jason on deck will reassure the Romans.

"A publisher in New York asked me to write down what I know about the Greek gods, and I was like, 'Can we do this anonymously?' Because I don't need the Olympians mad at me again. But if it helps you to know your Greek gods, and survive an encounter with them if they ever show up in your face, then I guess writing all this down will be my good deed for the week." So begins Percy Jackson's Greek Gods, in which the son of Poseidon adds his own magic - and sarcastic asides - to the classics.

Publisher's Summary
In his penultimate adventure, a devastated but determined Apollo travels to Camp Jupiter, where he must learn what it is to be a hero, or die trying.
It's not easy being Apollo, especially when you've been turned into a human and banished from Olympus. On his path to restoring five ancient oracles and reclaiming his godly powers, Apollo (a.k.a. Lester Papadopoulos) has faced both triumphs and tragedies. Now, his journey takes him to Camp Jupiter in the San Francisco Bay Area, where the Roman demigods are preparing for a desperate last stand against the evil Triumvirate of Roman emperors. Hazel, Reyna, Frank, Tyson, Ella, and many other old friends will need Apollo's aid to survive the onslaught. Unfortunately, the answer to their salvation lies in the forgotten tomb of a Roman ruler...someone even worse than the emperors Apollo has already faced.

Driving & Crying - Phew! That was a close one.
Rick Riordan you had me crying in traffic once again, as if traffic alone doesn’t make me sad enough on my hour-long commute each morning. I’m glad the sadness didn’t keep me from finishing the book or I would’ve missed the good stuff.
Don’t know how to bring a mistake to someone’s attention, but when Rayna is talking about her past she says Calypso’s Island instead of Circe. Oops!
I don’t know why anyone would have a problem with Robbie Daymond - I think he’s great and I’m enjoying his reading very much.

tyrants tomb review
I thought the story line was excellent. The only problems that I had while listening to the book was that some words were not pronounced the same as in previous stories. it was very annoying. also different characters voices were very different, ex. Frank's voice and his last name and title being pronounced differently. I hope they fix that in next book.

Yet another entertaining Riordan story
I’ve loved all of Rick Riordan’s books since the Lightning Thief came out, and have bought all his young adult, mythology books since. In this story, Rick Riordan does not disappoint and leaves you on the edge of your seat by the end wondering what Lester’s fate will ultimately be. Robbie Daymond is also a skillful narrator, who brings all the characters to life and left me chuckling in my seat multiple times. I also love how Rick Riordan begins all the chapters with 3 lines of poetic verses to give a sneak peek with what will happen in the chapter. I’m kind of shocked he was able to come up with so many. Can’t wait to see what Rick Riordan and Robbie Daymond will do in the final book of the series, The Tower of Nero (which comes out in a month!).
