One fateful night - different from the night he died, which was more inconvenient than fateful - Fred reconnects with an old friend at his high school reunion. Totally recommended. The dramatization version is great, good actors, nice music, well directed. The story is enjoyable with suspense moments but funny all the time.

I really tried to give this story a shot. I'm a big fan of the broken bridge series, and super powereds was okay. Over an hour in to this one and it just feel like an incel self insert fan fiction.
Maybe it gets better later but a quarter of the way through I still actively dislike the protagonist.
If I missed something important I'd love to be wrong about this story. As is, I'll avoid the authors other books.
