Not a book I would have chosen myself.
The story, while likely a fairly accurate description of life in the new world, didn't give the audience anything to hold out for. It was difficult to keep reading.
Well written, absolutely, but very bleak from beginning to end.

I could not stop listening. The experiences created in this story are so alien and elemental they are hard to comprehend were it not for the frank rendering. Nevertheless, beauty crashes through.The language, cadences and prose/poetry are stunning.
