I loved everything pace, characters , realism, good research....All until the last chapter. Didn't sound like the rest of the book...just stream of seld- introspection.

I thought the performance was very good considering 3 languages, 4 or 5 age groups and a wide range of emotions. Th÷e
hi story dragged me in and kept me there till.the very end. I liked it. a little predictable, but I liked it.

the bravery of the people. I realize that this was just a story. I also knows there were people that brave in real life.

The story, set in both London and The Netherlands, brought these locations in the early months of WW2 into clear focus for me. The main characters of Marnie, Willem and Cory were superbly developed. The story line was wonderful. I love all Ms. Robotham’s books and this one was as superb as all the others. I look forward to her next!
