This is my second Le Fanu story; Carmilla being the first. He was a fine communicator and definitely had some inspired ideas for stories; however, his execution of these stories were seriously lackluster. In short, he created great sizzle and smell, but a very poor steak. Shoe leather strip.

This story can't decide whether it is a spook story or a stalker story. He attempted to do both and let the reader decide. Not a good choice. It wasn't compelling as either.

The narration was well executed. Audio quality could have been clearer.
