À propos de cet audio

What happens when the sunshiny pop princess and the grumpy football player discover there's more to this fake romance than inspiration for a new love song?

Kelsey Best is America's pop sweetheart, and anyone who says they don't like her music is a liar and needs to be punched in the nads. And I'll do it, too, because I'm the guy the NFL dubbed the meanest player in the league. It's great for my career on the field, but not so much for my reputation off it. So I'm shocked as hell when Kelsey's team sends my agent a wild idea—they want a showmance between us. She's looking to dodge the media frenzy after her breakup with Hollywood's latest heartthrob, and I apparently fit the bill as her perfect distraction. My agent is convinced this fake dating stunt is the key to fixing my image. But what happens when I fall for her? The whole world is going to hate me when we fake break up. But she's going to create a blank space in my heart, and I don't think I'm going to be able to shake it off.

This plus-size curvy-girl romance features a burnt-cinnamon-roll hero with a mean protective streak and a baddie plus-size pop star on the verge of burn out. But a Bridgertons-meets-American-Football family you'll wish you were a part of will make sure they get their happy ever after.

I will happily read anything Amy writes in this universe that she's created. I felt like Declan moved a little fast for a natural progression but I loved the premise and the detailed Aspen adventure.

I love Amy Award.

📚EBOOK📚 & 🎧AUDIO 🎧

The Wiener Across the Way was such a cozy, feel-good follow-up in The Cocky Kingmans series. While it didn’t quite top the first book for me, it was still a super cute, quick, and easy listen—perfect for one sitting when you want something light and swoony without emotional devastation.

I went with the duet-style audiobook, and honestly? That absolutely elevated the experience. Stella Hunter and Jacob Morgan brought the characters to life in a way that made the banter sparkle and the chemistry feel natural and warm. This is very much a he fell first romance, layered with a grumpy-sunshine dynamic that totally worked for me. Add in the obvious pop-star-meets-football-star vibes (hello, Taylor & Travis energy 👀), and I was smiling the whole way through.

Kelsey, the sunshiny pop princess on the verge of burnout, and her gruff, protective, burnt-cinnamon-roll NFL hero made for such a fun fake-dating setup that—surprise—turns real. The spice was just right, the message was solid, and the found-family vibes were strong. Between the lovable Kingman chaos, the friendships, and the warmth that just oozes from the pages, this book felt like a hug. And let’s not forget Pooh, the little wiener dog who absolutely stole the show 🐾.
I genuinely didn’t want it to end—which says a lot for a book meant to be fluffy comfort reading.

Favorite quote:

“Kelsey sang this love song about being cozy with the one you love, and I swear to god she was looking right at me. Why would she do that to my heart? I was dead now. Deceased. Dust.”
Cute, cozy, romantic, and comforting—this one was a total win for my mood. 💕

I was looking for something light and fluffy after reading a lot of dark and serious books. this book was just too corny and repetitive for me. it also just reinforced that I really don't love band/music romances.

unfortunately, not for me.
