Publisher's Summary
From the world-famous couple who lived alongside a three-generation wolf pack, this book of inspiration, drawn from the wild, will fascinate animal and nature lovers alike.
For six years Jim and Jamie Dutcher lived intimately with a pack of wolves, gaining their trust as no one has before. In this book the Dutchers reflect on the virtues they observed in wolf society and behavior. Each chapter exemplifies a principle, such as kindness, teamwork, playfulness, respect, curiosity, and compassion. Their heartfelt stories combine into a thought-provoking meditation on the values shared between the human and the animal world.

Good Book
I'm sure it must be hard to write a book like this, but I think the way it was presented was done very well, especially when the narration was broken up and two separate perspectives were presented as being similar but different. An enjoyable and educational listen.

Love this audiobook!
How amazing to learn about these brave and wonderful creatures. I can't express how much I love this book. I have always loved wolves, but I realize now that I didn't actually know much about them. What a treat to be able to have a look into the emotional lives of these incredible animals. This book made me cry more than once. I wish it didn't have to end!

Well presented
I'm glad that they chose to use both male and female narrators. It added to the impact, which was already mystical and beautiful, providing a wonderful insight into the lives of these misunderstood animals.

A Good Read
I liked this book. It was interesting and insightful and demystifies the behaviour of wolves that have been unfairly demonized. Thank you for this. It was beautiful.

Informative and moving
This was such an interesting title. It was filled with so much information, but always tempered with the personalities of all involved in the creation of this book. Absolutely loved it.

Emotional roller coaster
The tales of the wolves were both heart-warming and gut-wrenching, and the narration by Traber Burns and Kate Mulligan was outstanding. The portions where the authors tooted their own horns was a little eye-rolling, but the stories of the wolves were great.

Atrociously too short in a good way
Not often does a book bring a tear to my eye. But that one did. Very touching and well written. I want to know everything about wolves now.

Loved it.
I have an exceptional interest and sensitivity to the Canis genus and enjoy the subject across the broad literature base. This book is not the research but an account of the researchers experience observing a wolf pack. It was both enjoyable and painful.
