The character development has you falling in love. The story has you hanging on the edge of your seat. Read by the perfect person, this is all around a perfect series I cannot stop recommending.

I was patiently waiting for the multiple story lines to meld, especially the healer child and the tortured twin. It was a downer not to see happen but excruciatingly exciting to read the next book.

It took me a while to get used to listening instead of reading one of my favourite fantasy series, but I am glad for the narrator they chose, and to finally hear how to pronounce some of the characters and locations that have lived in my imagination since my early 20s.
