In the dark, they are watching...

They are waiting for you.

No one has ever lived to tell the horrifying truth about them. Yet even now the Wolfen are gathered in the night-dark alleys ... unseen, poised ... ready to destroy their helpless human prey. Only one man and one woman, trained cops, willing to risk their lives, stand in the way.

Wolfen - a truly creepy novel of things in the shadows.

If you're looking for another 'by the numbers' story about werewolves, move along, this novel doesn't present anything as ridiculous as people in league with the Devil or humans turning into wolves. What it does have, is a truly terrifying explanation for the legends of old. Creatures thst have managed to keep their existence secret from mankind, as old as man himself, living in the shadows, taking the derelicts, the forgotten, scavenging from humanity's lost souls. That is, until two cops are found savegley mutilated and consumned at a car lot in the decay of the South Bronx in the early 1980s. Two detectives, two of New York's finest, are given the task of solving the murders, but what they discover will test their sanity, as they realize that they are now being hunted by something completely unbelievable.

The audiobook has solid narration, a story that is quickly paced, and is a gritty drama that just so happens to straddle the fence on horror as well. As a horror fan, I highly recommend it. 👍
