The lights are on at the Singleton vacation home on Lopez Island, Washington, illuminating the horror within. Scott Singleton, former NFL-star-turned-television-evangelist, lies dead. The bodies of his wife and four of their five children are found on the second floor, bound, gagged, and stabbed repeatedly. The oldest daughter was shot downstairs. And the police's main suspect - the property caretaker - has disappeared.
In her secluded vineyard home two hours away, Laura Gretchell is on edge. Her husband is out of town on business, and the children are understandably shaken. Laura tries to tell herself there's no reason to fear. Then the door handle rattles, and the real terror begins.

Very thrilling and Compelling story
Once again Kevin O’Brien kept me captivated with his remarkable thrilling writing. I enjoyed this book very much. Lots of characters to unfold but they were relevant to the story. So this book keeps you on your toes .
I did find the main character a bit weak in making her decisions for her family but it was a compelling ending.
This author surely gets you immersed into his stories. Always a beautiful Epilogue that concludes the story.
The narration was great and took you down the paths to the very end. I enjoyed the narration very much.
Absolutely worthy of a CREDIT. Thank you Audible Plus for including this amazing book in my Library.

The authors twists and turns. it kept me immersed till the end.
Nothing I disliked. I've tried a couple of his books and the narratoes have been rather monologue. I've put a couple down because of the narration before I got invested in the story.

Long winded
A plot that went all over the place and too many characters introduced from beginning to end which made it very confusing as to how they all fit in to the story.
