Publisher's Summary

What will you do when the unthinkable happens in your life?

Her parents called her Lenya Lion because of her ferocious personality and hair that had been wild and manelike since birth. But they never expected that five days before Christmas, their five-year-old daughter would suddenly go to heaven after an asthma attack. How do you walk out of an emergency room without your daughter?

In Through the Eyes of a Lion, Pastor Levi Lusko shares the eye-opening truth of the power of hope in a world that is often filled with pain, suffering, and loss. He says, "This book isn't a manual for grieving but a manifesto for high-octane living, and through it I want you to see that God made you for a purpose. There is a wild and wonderful calling on your life, a microphone in your hands. Jesus wants you to look at the adventure of your life through His eyes, the eyes of a Lion."

Part memoir but all overtly instructive and deeply inspirational, Through the Eyes of a Lion gives listeners the tools they need to face their fears and turn their journeys into roar stories.

Chapter themes include:

  • Don't rely on the naked eye
  • Run toward the roar
  • There's no such thing as a wireless anchor
  • Let God use your pain
  • Cue the eagle

What we do in life really does echo in eternity. You are destined for impact, and there's not a moment to lose!

Run towards the Roar.

I started this book a bit ago and decided to finish it up during my vacation down south, gladly escaping a very cold Canadian winter. Moved by the The Lusko’s story and being just a couple weeks after Christmas, I relived my memories of the holiday season this year with my boys. Savouring the smallest memories and replaying in my mind, the smiles and excitement of the season. This book has helped me take note that Gods purpose for our lives can take us on what we might think can’t possibly be “my new life”. This book has brought a new deeper love and acceptance for the trials God has brought me to and is guiding me through, a painful marriage breakdown and separation. Thank you, Levi for your emotional generosity you give so freely in this book. The flight down to Mexico was a very happy one, knowing the week to come was going to be a healing encounter and in a paradise God created on earth. The tears that rolled down my cheeks while listening to this book and the feelings it brought up about my recent experience, seemed so fitting that I would be strapped into this huge air craft flying 100’s of miles per hour, that little ol’ me, just starred out the window, into the vast open blue skies of heaven... knowing that God took this exact moment to remind me that He has everything in His control. A memory I will cherish for some time. With completion of this amazing book, laying here in the hot sun, the last day in “paradise “ , I have with me a deep sense of peace. Levi reminded me, when we are scared, we need to run towards the roar of the lion. Face that which scares you because that is where you will find God, the sweet peace that surpasses all understanding and the purpose that God has waiting for you. Bless you and all your girls, here on earth and in heaven. ❤️

Absolutely inspirational

I'd like to thank pastor Levi Lusko for sharing an experience so deep and painful that his family went through. You set an example of what it's like to live out our faith in times of suffering. It's an inspirational read for any phase in life. A truly gifted writer and preacher.
