Walking a Pagan Path.

This book contains many good suggestions on walking a pagan path, some of which were practical for an urban apartment dweller, others were not so much. Many of Aleric's suggestions, such as growing your own food, or beekeeping, only make sense if you have a lot of land. However, other suggestions are applicable to anyone no matter where you live, and could be used by anybody. Alaric is a Saxon Pagan, so if you follow that path, this book would be especially useful, but as a Roman Pagan, I still found this to be a valuable book. It is not focused on witchcraft or magic, but rather how you can build a closer relationship to the gods and nature spirits of the land.

Extremely informative

I have been curious about paganism for quite awhile now. This is the first book I’ve read/listened to and it opened a whole new world to me. This book is loaded with so much information I’ve listened to it almost twice the first day. I extremely appreciate that he used his own prayers as examples. I would of given a full 15/15 score but the only concern is he went to in-depth with recipes and certain techniques for training and could of explained more on the beliefs and traditions.

Pretty good basics, some is unnecessary though

I do love how path/tradition neutral it is! And the firat half has great tips and suggestions on getting started and how to figure things out. However, then you have over an hoir of "how to pick the right dog breed for your family" and then a bunch of landscaping information. I did like the mention of historical types of meditation gardens, and some of the basics of these that could be added to a modern yard. I also was not interested in how much of different types of vegetibles can be grown in a square yard of soil, or climate information on like 3 states...thats what an almanac is for.

DIY Masterpiece

Great Book- Terrible Narrator
This book should be called The Super Druid’s Handbook. It is very informative about Paganism, but has practical instruction of all sorts of DIY stuff. Fantastic read with surprising recipes and advice for anyone who wants to live more agrarian to any practical extent short of running an actual farm or ranch.

Choppy Sound Clips

The narration would have been great if there wasn't, every few paragraphs, a sentence or two from an obviously different recording session. It was a bit jarring.

The book itself is full of ideas on everything from celebrating sabbats, to arts & crafts type things, to keeping bees, to living in a more earth-friendly manner. It brings together many topics otherwise found in their own separate fields, into a single place so the reader can get a taste of everything in one sitting.

I have to add that I greatly disagree with how the author defines a familiar, but to each their own.

Delightfully Educational

An excellent read for those seeking to employ their pagan beliefs in their day to day life. While I learned much from this novel on the apparent topic, I believe I learned just as much about agriculture, chicken breeding, and dog selection. All topics are brought about in such away that they're applications are apparent. Yet as a 24 year old male who lives in an urban apartment, many of these additional practices simply do not apply to me.
