Publisher's Summary

The doctor can heal me, but can he keep me safe?

My brother has been embezzling from his employers. Unfortunately, when I accidentally discover that information, I end up hurled straight into the Potomac. If it weren’t for Dr. Derek Carlisle, I’d be fish food.

When he offers more than medical help, I bolt. It’s not his job to protect me, even if the older man is everything I’ve ever wanted.

The young man needs a protector.

From the moment I see him, I know Seb is more than a patient. I’ve never been tempted to cross the patient/doctor line before. For him? I’ll do it in a heartbeat.

His brother wants to hurt him, and he needs someone to keep him safe. Me. Except, I can’t keep my hands off of him. Is a man as inexperienced as Seb ready for something more than a few nights of fun? I need to find out before keeping him safe breaks my heart.

Touch and Go features heroes with an age gap, danger lurking all around, and a healthy dose of hurt/comfort. The brothers of Vanguard Towers are at the front lines of love, and Derek is only the first to fall.

A sweet hurt /comfort, opposites attract, age gap romance!

This was a sweet hurt /comfort, opposites attract, age gap romance.

I loved Derek and Sebastian's story.
This book was a great start to an amazing series.

The characters were likeable and entertaining and the storyline held my interest.

The narration was decent. I felt it a tad difficult to navigate between the characters and their voices as it all seemed the same to me. But it was enjoyable nonetheless.

Good series starter

This is a good start to a series surrounding a found family of brothers who have bonded through taking care of each other. They live together in one building and all have first responder type jobs except one. It's a good book but I found the narration a little lacking. I did enjoy it but I found the tone and lack of inflection a little off-putting. I got used to it but it turned me off the audio a little. Again, not bad I am just spoiled on audio book performers.

Good story

I really enjoyed the story and the concept of the storyline and what it seems the future books are going to be like. The narrator I found to be lacking some. He was ok but it seems that all his voices for the charter were very monotone. I really would have liked more life in the charters than there was.

Touch and No

Touch and no... wow this was boring. I usually like a good doctor/patient love story. But the doctor and his brothers rags to riches story line was way unbelievable. A doctor, lawyer, firefighter, artist and FBI agent? The patient happens to be an expert computer white hat hacker that will fit right in after the shirt bursts of drama and self loathing. This is a series I won't continue.

couldn't do it.

From the few chapters I was able to get through, it seemed like a great story. However the narrator was so mechanical and didn't give any personality to any of the characters I couldn't finish the book.

Hot, spicy, and suspenseful!

Let me say first that I love Aiden Bates. His style of writing hooks you in from the beginning and keeps you wanting more. This story was no different. This book had everything you could want in a story: hot men, spicy love making, and a whole lot of suspense. This was a great introduction to the series. The chemistry between Derek and Seb was everything you could hope for in a romance and they balanced each other out magically.

Derek is a doctor and Seb is the man he saves. Seb doesn't want to be protected but Derek wants to protect him from the brother that is trying to hurt him. Although he doesn't want the protection, through lots of love and Derek showing Seb he will be there for him no matter what, they find that happy ever after.

This was a great start to an amazing series.

What a start

Well this series looks like it’s going to be one enjoyable series. This book has started off a great new series that’s going to take a lot of work to complete at such a high standard, but I have complete faith in Aiden Bates.
Derek is the first of the bothers to find that someone special but he almost losses it. And Seb that someone special and let’s just say what brings him onto Derek’s path isn’t so pleasant. Loved this book and looking forward to listening to more from this series

Such A Good Idea

This is the first book in The Vanguard Towers Series. The book was okay the writing was again okay. It didn’t meet the promise of the concept for the book. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters likeable. Derek and Sebastian are the MC’s of this book. I think that this story was hurt by the narration. It was more monotone and a poor attempt at different voices. It wasn’t horrible but it could’ve been better. I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book for an honest review.

Great start to a new series!

This is a hurt/comfort, age gap, start to a new series. I enjoyed Derek and Sebastian's story. Aiden Bates created a situation between the characters that made me want to finish listening. The story developed at a good pace and led to an enjoyable time. Can't wait for the next one!
