Publisher's Summary

Inside the Tower, there is only one choice—climb or die.

John Mavren and his comrades eventually reached the 100th floor, five years after the desolation of the outside world and 20 years after the Tower first appeared. In a violent battle to ascend, John was struck down even as he dealt the final blow to the last boss.

Those who survived were granted passage off ruined Earth and into worlds unknown, but they refused. Instead, they asked the Final Guardian for only a single grace—that John be returned to life.

Time moved backward.

Bestowed with a fragment of his original power and with almost no memory of what had happened before, John wakes up in the past only one year after the arrival of the Tower.

With a sense of impending doom and a single, desperate hope for survival, John knows he must conquer the Tower and defeat those who dwell within.

He must become powerful enough to overcome a forgotten future and stop the apocalypse.

From best seller Wolfe Locke comes Tower Reborn in the Realm Grinder series, a new tower-climbing LitRPG about an apocalypse, a tower of realms, and a hero going from strong to stronger.

Good narrator, decent story, hard to get into

1) (this is a tad biased I won't lie.) Adam Stubbs is an excellent Narrator, and has done one of my personal favorite stories Reborn Apocalypse. Adam has a good voice that is fitting for narration, and puts a lot of emotion behind the storyline that is tense/emotional/despairing/hopeful and etc.

2) I like this story, who doesn't like a Reincarnation story (as long as it's done right!) So far there has been very few hints about the MCS Reincarnation, obviously the blurb gives that away to entice the reader. As for how it allowed the Tower Guardians to keep memory of the MC or other characters, that has yet to be explained. However, when it is done so in the later books I hope it is executed well by the author.

3) The power system in this story uses letters as a basis for the characters Status Screen and their overall Attributes in their respective category. However, my bone to pick with this is that there is no clear comparison to what the power ranks entail. I personally thing that using numbers as reference points, instead of letters would give a far better clarification in just how strong the MC or other characters really are.

4) The characters in this story have good personality and have their own share to add to the story, it is not just the MC driving the story forward. The MC has no memories, but a portion of his old power, unique skill (Ultimate Muscle) as well as a instinctive desire/craze to climb the tower without failure, no matter what. However, the MC does take responsibility and does not give up on the rest of the human populace outside of the Tower, compared to other people that just pursue the Tower and live the best life while the rest of their fellow men are slaughtered inside/outside the Tower.

5) Overall I have been hooked on the story, and there is a very damn good Narrator that breathes life into the story, giving the characters a proverbial existence of their own.

what are the stats and levels even for?

I've pretty much listen to every book in this genre. while it's nice there isn't lists of stats and skills it would be nice if the stats were for any thing? he goes from f to e without the readers even knowing. Everything to do with the stats feels like usless info that has no correlation to any thing. How much does his damage go up pre level? does level even do any thing or is it the stats that randomly go up effect his strength? or the level of skills? he just randomly says oh hey now I can use my giant form for 30 minutes now, how, why? what's the cool down? no one knows? what's the point of giving him such vague memories of his past life? it definitely has never helped him just made him confused? it's almost as if you wanted to write a action town story but found out ppl like stats and reincarnation so you threw those in as an after thought
