Equal parts love and ghost story, an unforgettable romance about a science journalist and a North Carolina librarian who dare to believe in the impossible, from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Notebook.

As a science journalist with a regular column in Scientific American, Jeremy Marsh specializes in debunking the supernatural—until he falls in love with the granddaughter of the town psychic.

When Jeremy receives a letter from Boone Creek, North Carolina, about ghostly lights appearing in a cemetery, he can't resist driving down to investigate. Here, in this tightly knit community, Lexie Darnell runs the town's library. Disappointed by past relationships, she is sure of one thing: her future is in Boone Creek, close to all the people she loves.

From the moment Jeremy sets eyes on Lexie, he is intrigued. And Lexie, while hesitating to trust this outsider, finds herself thinking of him more than she cares to admit. Now, if they are to be together, Jeremy must do something he's never done before-take a giant leap of faith.

A love story about taking chances and following your heart, True Believer will make you believe in the miracle of love.

28 minutes into chapter 2, the sound crackles and it loses a section of the story. Story slow in beginning but only at Chapter 2 so hoping gets better. Will review again in end or if anymore dead silence.

UPDATE...Finished it and loved the story. Issues throughout with crackling due to recording though. Not impressed with that.

I really enjoyed the book, it had a good flow. The only thing I didn’t like was the music that randomly happened at times. I usually read audiobooks to relax and all of a sudden loud music came. But except for that I would recommend it.

A good book with a cute twist

I don't care for the narrator portraying the opposite sex voice, just doesn't sound realistic

good book but

The music starts at weird times and continues far too long. It doesn’t fit with the story. I’m having trouble moving past this to listen to the story.

What’s with the weird music?
