This is my favourite book by Andrew Klavan so far. It was so hard to listen to, at times almost unbearable, the way he manages to transmit the inner life, fear, and agony of the characters. At the same time it was so beautiful, so deep and full of spiritual wisdom. And, of course, packed with nail-biting suspense and action. I can't imagine how hard this must have been to write and I am so grateful that I got to hear it.

This is a great story. Very gripping. The narration suits the character. I kept thinking, while listening to the book, that it would be a good movie. Turns out, it has been made into one. Off to watch that now...

The ending of this book is heartbreaking. Nevertheless, it is one that gets its reader/listener hooked on throughout the entirety of the novel. Both the writer and narrator did an amazing job. Highly recommend it!
