Publisher's Summary

A Wall Street Journal bestseller.

From New York Times bestselling author Susan Stoker comes a scorching Silverstone installment that finds a former military man racing to save the woman he loves as danger closes in on them both.

Former military man turned government assassin Kellan “Eagle” Trowbridge isn’t looking for love. He’d rather keep his head down at his cover job as an employee of Silverstone Towing. That all changes, however, when he meets Taylor Cardin.

Beautiful, smart, and witty Taylor instantly falls for the mysterious tow truck driver, who comforts her both in the aftermath of the car crash she sees firsthand and when the police dismiss her as a credible witness because of her prosopagnosia, or face blindness. Eagle, on the other hand, can remember every person he’s ever met - and the two counterparts forge an immediate connection. But someone else is just as intrigued by Taylor’s unique condition as Eagle is...and his intentions are downright deadly.

Soon, Eagle and Taylor are too caught up in each other to see the danger that’s approaching. But as time runs out, they’ll discover their love isn’t the only thing fighting to survive.

Great build-up for suspense!

Eagle and Taylor certainly brought the suspense to the romantic suspense! I was on the edge, waiting for the next thing to happen to Taylor as the book continued, getting more and more anxious for her as every incident. Even with Eagle with her, you knew the badness was looming, and there was no surprise when it hit. But that was part of the story, because the other part was the wonderfulness of Taylor and Eagle falling in love, and Taylor finding what she always felt was missing in her life. The understanding from everyone of Taylor’s disability, along with her own realizations, was great to read. The friends to lovers that Taylor and Eagle took with their relationship was beautiful to see. The bond between the crew at Silverstone was even more apparent with this story; The love between the former Delta Force brothers even more solid. Great narration with an awesome story had me glued to my earbuds <3

Another grand slam from Susan Stoker!

She sure does know how to bring different health issues to the forefront. And makes it relatable, and teaches you how to handle situations in a much more careful manner.
This story is so heartwarming.
I laughed, gasped, and shook my head all in the first 2 chapters. By the end of the book I wanted to reread the first booknof the series and then jump back into this one!

Great characters, story & narration

I loved this story by Susan Stoker and it was great to see that Taylor was not your typical heroine; she has a unique medical condition which is face blindness where she cannot identify a person by looking at his/her face. It was great to see that this condition did not stop her from living her life but it sure did provide some suspenseful moments with a stalker after her. I loved our hero, Eagle who can recognize anyone’s face and I loved how protective he was of Taylor’s well-being. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life with her performances.

average,

this story is slow moving, I set my speed a little faster and kept fast forwarding. too much harping on her disability. we got after the first few hundred times of focusing on it. this is the 2nd one I read and can't read another one. story had good potential and the towing company is building a nice family but won't put more $ into the rest of the series. narrator does a nice job

Read book one, skip this one. It’s the same plot

Book one overarching plot reused. Author phones this one in. Didn’t research or consider what living with Taylor’s disability would actually be like. I got to the last hour and a half and gave up. As for ways to catch the bad guy: Finger prints! Camera on your phone! Use the resources at hand to catch an obvious stalker. The FBI guy who’s wife was killed would have run fingerprints in a heartbeat! How about video of the bad guy at the pizza place? Traffic cams? If you’re going to write books about badass men who can track terrorist then they should have the ability to search traffic cam footage. Install cameras at the apartments. Eagle couple spot people who don’t belong but that never comes up. Instead, the main characters are left looking like idiots. Terrible book

Eagle and Taylor are a great story

Taylor had an unusual condition I had never heard of. Eagle was very sweet and the Silverstone crew were extra special. I love Eagle. he is amazing. Taylor is stronger than one would think

Unique dangers & empathetic love story

Very unique conditions these two people have & a great opposites attract situation. I believe when you have a disability or condition it makes you more empathetic to others regardless their condition. The story had dangers, excitement, loving friendships and some sexy love making. Great narration by Lucy Rivers. Highly recommend this book.

Another great edition to this series

I really enjoyed this addition to the series. Taylor's condition was something I'd heard about in crime drama shows and read about before but they usually lack to show the more vulnerable side of it. Taylor usually keeps to herself and I really liked that Eagle went out of his way to help her feel comfortable.
