I ran into the author, Selina Robinson, at a gathering recently. She reminded me that she had made her book audio because that is how I listen to books. That night I downloaded the book and had it read in 1 and 1/2 days! I couldn’t stop listening. I found it incredibly powerful: so well written, deeply informative, and profoundly moving. Selina’s professionalism and strength in the face of such injustice was/is inspiring. I truly learned a lot. One of my personal mantras is “when I know better, I do better,” and this book really reinforced that. I’m so glad she had the courage to write it. This book and her work will and has made a real difference for so many. It has for me for which I am very thankful.

Selina reads her book beautifully. It is a sad story of a politician being ousted by the Premier of BC for being Jewish. It is a statement of the lack of compassion, and the massive hypocrisy of the NDP, that no longer stands for principles of equality, justice and integrity. The NDP has become a failed institution filled with racism and division. If you want to know what is going on in Canadian politics, this book is a must listen.
