Publisher's Summary
Trouble is haunting Cassidy Blake....
Even more than usual.
She (plus her ghost best friend, Jacob) is in Paris, where Cass’s parents are filming their show about the world’s most haunted cities. Sure, it’s fun eating croissants and seeing the Eiffel Tower, but there’s true ghostly danger lurking beneath Paris, in the creepy underground Catacombs.
When Cass awakens a frighteningly strong spirit, she must rely on her still-developing skills as a ghost hunter - and turn to friends both old and new to help her unravel a mystery. But time is running out, and the spirit is only growing stronger.
And if Cass fails, the force she’s unleashed could haunt the city forever.
Number-one New York Times best-selling author Victoria Schwab returns to the spooky and heart-pounding world of City of Ghosts, delivering thrilling new adventures and an unforgettable spin on friendship. (Because sometimes, even psychic ghost best friends have secrets....)

A Paris few will see
If you want a taste of graveyard horror but are a little squeamish, this second book in the series will be just the right amount of tension, as in what is it like to be buried alive.
I do wish these short young readers books weren’t priced so high. Books 1 & 2 should be one credit. Would attract more of us older readers.

Enjoyed the follow-up!
This follow-up was really descent. Wasn’t better than the first, but I was still enthralled and the character of Jacob really developed nicely. I was anticipating his storyline to build when I should have been focusing more on the poltergeist. I just wasn’t super intrigued by the poltergeist and Cassidy’s search for him. I know it was supposed to mirror Jacob’s journey a little, but I sometimes got confused re: why I was supposed care about this little poltergeist kid!

Excellent read!
My 11 year old struggles to read her required minutes for school, but listening to this book makes it easy! Engaging and fast paced story that keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Fun and riveting!
It was hard to tear myself away from this book and not listen all in one go. The characters are relatable, the plot entertaining, and the pace is super-fast. Fantastic narration and great story. Highly recommend!

It is a children's book, but I enjoyed it
The first book starts slow, and I was disappointed bc it is a kid's book, but once I got past that I really enjoyed it.

Brilliant book, brilliant narration
I absolutely loved it! Very well written, I just couldn't stop listening ( I actually finished it in one go), full of action, spooks and the feeling of being there with Cass and Jacob.
