Publisher's Summary

What’s better than three monstrous hotties? How about four....

While helping the trio of sexy-as-sin monsters who followed me home, I lost my apartment, my sense of security, and more blood than was really healthy. Somehow my new lovers make me feel like I’ve gotten the better part of the bargain.

Unfortunately, their newly-rescued boss isn’t so keen on humans. I get the feeling he’d rather rend me limb from limb than give me the time of day. Too bad for him my mortal skills are just too useful to toss aside. After all, we’ve still got a conspiracy of monster-torturing psychos to destroy.

But between crushing Bossypants’s tests and tracking down dirt on our enemies, the most unsettling thing I’ve encountered might be what’s lurking under my skin. I contain powers no human is meant to wield. What does that make me?

I have no idea, but figuring out how to tap into my supernatural side may be my only chance to avenge the woman who raised me and so many who’ve been murdered since. And the one thing I am sure of?

This crook doesn’t back down.

Twilight Crook is the second book in a new urban fantasy series from best-selling author Eva Chase. If you love kickass heroines with sass to spare, drool-worthy monsters who have their own sense of morality, and steamy romances where there'll be no choosing required, dive in now!

Keeps Getting Better!

Pleasantly surprised! I often feel like the second book in a series has more filler than pizazz and I get easily bored. Not this book! It was better than the first imo. The mystery and intrigue just keeps building. I also love the change in dynamic as Omen is brought into the mix. Such a unique story and characterizations! Worth your time and money! Enjoy 😊

Great Story

The narration was great. This is the second book in the series, and the suspense kept me listening. There were a few steamy scenes but it didn't run the book. The MC was badass and didn't take crap from anyone. Her men, while still trying to figure out their feelings, stuck by her side. Definitely worth the read! Onto the next!

Action packed second book

I love this series! It's full of action, adventure, hunky supernatural guys, and a kick-a$$ heroine.

Book two picks up right from the end of book 1. I thought the MC and her hunky men would get a little break in their lives, but no such luck. I love the character development in all the character individually, and how they develop together.

I cannot wait to continue reading this series. It's a definite must read!

Sorcha and the boys trying to save Shadowkind

Narrators are the same throughout the 4-book series. They really are a great fit, they bring the story to life

I love the combination and thus dynamic of the boys, the way the Shadow Realm works, the use of both familiar Supernaturals as -to me at least- unique supernatural creatures both big and small, all sizes and shapes.
They don’t pop up much but they add a nice dimension to the Shadowkind in general. They are introduced in the most natural way, it never feels like they’re empty shells eventhough information is limited. It is just not about those other creatures as individuals. Great worldbuilding!

Sorcha’s strong will to save all Shadowkind is really thought out, she has a nice background -to readers I mean, wouldn’t want to be in her shoes.
Through some saving and sometimes a visit to a bar or something like that, we get a glimpses of the variety of Shadowkind. They are mostly really self-centered, leaving our small group with some difficulties in battling the secret society hellbent on hunting down the Shadowkind. But don’t let that stop them!

The story develops nicely, with the same kind of humor as in book 1. You’ll be surprised at how innocent a demon-like creature can be, unfamiliar with this world and an eagerness to discover everything. Throw in a Succubus with some witty dry humor and a stoic warrior and you’ll get a great dynamic that will have you giggling throughout the book.
I, for one, am a huge fan. I love all the series of hers that I have read or listen to but somehow they only get better. So now, on to book 3!

A twilight read!

What’s better than three monstrous hotties?
How about four....

This series is absolutely worth it and you should definitely start listening to it as soon as possible. Highly recommend it!

Gosh, this book kept me in suspense, in anticipation and I am so in live with this series. I honestly have no words to describe it without gushing so much.

Perfect for readers of urban fantasy.

Lovely narration. Highly enjoyable narrations from both narrators.

Fun and filled with adventure!

I really enjoyed the story of this book. The characters are great and there is tons of supernatural adventure. I don’t love the female narrator, she goes so fast, sometimes it’s easy to get lost.

Same issue as the 1st book... Skip the audio

Again, loved the book, but skip the audio. I chose this book in Kindle & opted for whispersync/audio. I love being able to toggle back & forth. I again did enjoy this book, but the narration hasn't been corrected. Aiden Snow did a nice job on narration, as did Vanessa Moyen. But the weird accent that Vanessa gave Thorn is annoying. In the beginning of the book, when Thorn's character was introduced, it was said that "His voice came out deep and gravelly" & "Thorn’s formal way of speaking and outfit of tunic and trousers suggested any significant time he’d spent here had been a few eras ago". That doesn't mean a foreign accent. Still driving me nuts is that while Vanessa portrays Thorn with the weird accent... Aiden portrays Thorn with no accent. It's deep & formal, the way you would expect from the description. seriously, Eva Chase needs to have Vanessa re-record her parts... or just the parts where she's speaking as Thorn. The rest of her narration is actually really good. I've read other reviews & don't know how this inconsistency hasn't been mentioned by anyone else :/

Another enjoyable book

Another enjoyable book in this series. Eva Chasz does an amazing job developing the characters, showing different parts of their personalities, while progressing the plot. I'm looking forward to the next book.

The narrators do an amazing job portraying the different characters
