Only issue I have, is some of the male voices (sexy all around) are a tad slow.

🎧 I listened to the audiobook. Dual style multicast. The audiobook was ok. I was convinced of all the different female voices that Vanessa Moyer did. And I love Jacob Morgan’s female voice.
📚 the story was ok. I haven’t dipped my toes too deeply into the omegaverse if that’s what this is? I think? I’ve read a few wolf shifter books but this is the first time they were all what they are. So that was new to me. There were no female friends who never betray us so no star there. And there was no banter. No star there.
🌶️ there’s not much spice here. There’s 2 scenes maybe and they’re very light and short. You’re not here for the 🌶️ in this one, that’s for sure.
⭐️ all in all 3 stars, 2.5 rounded up cuz there’s no half choices here.

If your looking for an easy to read and captivating story, then this is the series for you. The Character building was great right from the start. I read the first book in a day and could not wait to move on to the next. There is mystery, love, laughing, tears and then the feeling of just being in the moment. Its both spicey and has an easy to follow story. Tessa Hale is a great writer

I really enjoyed the pace of this book and can’t go wrong with the trope. If you know what you’re getting into, there’s no way to dislike this book. Possessive men, unsuspecting ‘human’ in college.

HATE the cliffhanger. Author played dirty.

Twilight of embers was a nice entertaining romantasy. It has dragon shifters, fated mates, touch her and die, and more.

Though I really enjoyed it, I have to say that the story is very superficial. There's not much world building, we just learn that "supernaturals" exist and that includes dragon shifters, wolf shifters and...others?

The story is relatively short and it feels like everything is happening fast. The FMC could use more personality, the insta-love dynamic is not really my favorite so I'm glad there are some pushback from some of the characters 😬 But then again, if we had more background we would be able to better understand the different MMCs.

Regarding the listening experience, since there's a full cast of voices, I wonder why they didn't participate in each other's chapters instead of the female having to imitate the males voices and vice versa. It would have been more immersive that way.

All in all I think it was a pleasing start to the series, I think I'll stick along for the ride, especially after that ending!
