Scarrow pulls no punches in this Cato and Macro tale. If the reader misses the parallel described chillingly in the text, it is clearly stated in the epilog. The writing is crisp and the narration ..well, Jonathan Keeble owns the series. Masterful. Beyond the message, what stuck out for me was the development of the Cato/ Vespasian relationship. Hero worship is often contextual. It will take a few more books to mature. I hope the books come quickly. I'm not getting any younger.

Absolutely best roman fiction books ever, it scares me how old macro is getting !!! I dont want these adventures to end !!! And my god i cannot waiitttt for the year of the 4 fucking emperors!!!! This book is amazing even if ur not much into roman history if u start at book 1 u will still like these books!!! So goood!!!!! Pls hurry up and write the next one !!!!!!!
