Stupidly unrealistic

Both female and male leads are pathetic. I do not think fictional seals are somehow supposed to be all knowing but Kyle of book 1 is an idiot and then gets his love interest in ridiculous situations. Mild spoiler as to 1 example. When the action ramps up and there’s confusion of who is the good and bad guys according to local law enforcement Kyle becomes a suspect. He then stupidly shows up at his love interest they have hours of a love fest have a stroll and dinner out. Needless to say surprise surprise local law enforcement shows up at his love interest place in full on overkill. This just adds to all the previous ridiculousness of the love interest continually simpering after Kyle even though he continually tries to dump her and all she does is jumps his bones every chance she gets. Pathetic!I cannot even try to finish the first book. I do not think it’s worth wasting my credit on this and am returning can’t see how this author can improve. Others are welcome to see if they can get through book 1 but I’m bailing! The narrator at least is half decent. It’s such a challenge to find an decent audible book that actually has a decent storyline and a decent narrator. I’m constantly only finding one or the other, which is very frustrating!
