Story
When Laura Fry returns to her childhood home to care for her invalid mother, she hopes the writer’s block that has swallowed her writing career will disappear. She doesn’t plan on turning into a “yard girl” but her mother’s long neglected lawn beckons her to return it to the lush and colorful display it had been before her mother’s accident. She also doesn’t plan on making friends with the “nympho lesbian” next door but she finds it impossible not to watch the parade of playmates the neighbor brings to her pool.

Story
Coming out is easier when you've got someone by your side. At least that's how the hyper-private Quinn Kincaid sees it. When her publicist suggests a good old-fashioned sham of a Hollywood relationship, Quinn reluctantly agrees. And that's how the star of Jordan's Appeal, TV's highest rated legal drama, ends up with a fake girlfriend - the very real, very sexy, and very gay soap star Lacey Matthews.

Publisher's Summary
Self-made business owner Dale McGuire has always enjoyed two things in life: women and fast cars. Now in her mid-30s, she's restless and can't work out why. Then one day a 10-year-old boy turns up, claiming to be her son, and her simple ordered world turns upside down.
Rebecca Harper bears the emotional scars of her father's crimes, and now she has two rules: never let anyone get too close and never admit weakness. Thanks to an anonymous egg donor, infertility didn't stop her from having her son Jake. Now pregnant for a second time, she's horrified when Jake brings home the woman he believes is his other mother.
When distrust turns to understanding and passion, can Dale and Rebecca, two women bound by fate, make a family neither expected?

OMG OMG OMG I LOVE THIS BOOK
How can I fully explain how much I love this story? I love every part of it, the ups and downs, the drama, the happiness, the love. And also the characters, I think I'll never forget them, they live in my heart now, Dale, Becca, Jake, Sam, Val, they were all unique and real.
The narrator did a fantastic job giving them each their own voice, perfectly transmitting every emotion, both good and bad. I felt everything the characters went through, like I was there with them and knew them my whole life.
I cannot recommend this book enough, I feel like I will never make it justice even if I use all the atoms in the universe to write about it. To anyone reading my meager review, do yourself a favor and buy this book, you won't regret it.

Thawing of the ice queen
I loved this story and it’s characters. The narrator did a great job of changing the voices and making you imagine that these people actually exist. I cannot wait until the sequel comes out!

Jenny Frame and Nicola Victoria Vincent are a perfect match
Frame is one of my favorite authors of this genre, and Vincent makes her works come to life. As a queer woman who has listened to dozens if not hundreds of romance novels over the years, I recommend this and every other Frame/Vincent audiobook without reservation.
