Publisher's Summary
Elisa Leal is looking for some joy in her life. Years of tragedy and struggle took their toll, and now she is searching for new connections to raise her spirits. When she discovers proof that her biological father is alive, she decides to find him and make contact. Her quest leads her to the small town of Bliss, Colorado, and the strangest man she’s ever met—Mel Hughes. He believes in aliens and sasquatch conspiracies, but he’s also kind of awesome. And there might be even more in Bliss to make her smile.
Sylvan Dean and Hale Galloway have enjoyed wandering their way through life, always in motion. Always searching for the woman who could make their life complete. Living in Bliss made them realize it’s time to settle down. Van’s finally going to college and has a job lined up with his brother when he finishes. That job is in Dallas, and while Hale is happy for Van, he can’t imagine leaving Bliss behind. It feels like everything is coming apart until they meet Elisa. She’s the one they have been searching for, and she is worth the wait.
The future looks bright until the guys’ past comes back to haunt them. Danger lurks in every corner, but it may not be the biggest threat to their happily ever after. The citizens of Bliss know how to handle a killer, but handling Elisa, Van, and Hale might require some cosmic intervention.

It's always fun coming back to Bliss
This book really had crossover from several other of Ms. Blake's series and as a long time fan who has read each and every book that I have been able to find....., that just made it all the better. While we did get introduced to three NEW characters for the main couple (or is it "throuple"? Hmmm?) Anyway, the three MC's were all new, but they were tangentially related to several existing characters - both from Bliss and from Dallas (from the Masters & Mercenaries series and its spinoff The Lost Boys.)
This book has an author foreword that tells the reader (and by reader, that would be me) a little bit of insight in to what went into the writing of this book. Ms. Blake has been very forthcoming recently about her real life battle with cancer and this book seemed to come out of that struggle. The female MC Elisa is just coming out of that same battle and we really get to FEEL some of the emotions and insecurities that are left behind when all is said and done. I think that aspect of Elisa made her that much more real.
The 2 male MC's Van and Hale actually ended up in Bliss because Van's older brother just happens to be Jake Dean (from Adam, Jake and Serina...THAT Jake). I liked the 2 guys - I especially liked the character of Hale - but I will admit that the character development (of ALL of the MC's) wasn't as deep and full as we have come to expect.
I did like this book - but I think that the fact that Bliss is a fully developed and existing world with characters that I have grown to absolutely LOVE was actually the reason for my feelings of contentment. For some reason, everything just felt a bit flat. The characters entire story arc was just a little TOO easy. While there was the requisite "bad guy" sideline plot, for the first time it actually felt like a sideline plot - in other words, it was kind of just thrown in there.
For some reason, the relationship between Van, Hale and Elisa never really connected for me. With the three of them being completely new to Bliss, it didn't really feel realistic with how they immediately became so immersed and entrenched into the Bliss community. I know, I know...this is fiction - but usually Ms. Blake creates storylines and characters that are rock solid. This one just fell a little short for me.
With that being said, I DID enjoy the mentions of some of the Dallas crew, getting to peek into characters that we know and love and of course, all of the talk of "aliens".
Any excuse to jump back to Bliss works for me :)

lol
Yet again another winner Lexie Blake definitely knows how to write a story that grabbed the whole debut and doesn't let go until the end and even then. You wish there was more.

You have to love Bliss
Elisa, Van, and Hale are a cute couple. Once Van got over his feeling of shame and guilt, Hale got over his fears of worth and abandonment, and Elisa’s lack of emotional connection they were able to forge a lasting and loving bond. Now if they can only find out who is threatening to kill one of them, they can live happily ever after.I enjoyed returning to Bliss..this story gave you some laughter and even a little bit therapy 😆. Everyone who comes to town is immediately sucked into the fold..

Re; Still thinking 🤔
Overall I have not read a Lexi Blake book that I did not like, her stories are definitely funny, and usually very very interesting and for the most part I did like this book and the characters especially seeing some of the older characters that make up the stories and the town of Bliss itself since as the reader I absolutely love the town of Bliss, but yes I was hoping to learn more about Mel, and not just another threesome introduced to the town, although those are always fun, Mel and Cassidy are some of my favorite characters 🤔maybe we can have a part 2 🤣 an I love that Maurice is still around.

Boring
I had hopes of learning more about Mel, but not to be. Upon learning Mel might be her father Elisa sets out to Bliss with little to no plan, other than to question the community. Of course, they don't trust "outsiders" so this leads nowhere. Then we have Van and Dean, Adam and Jake wannabes, that have no personality or chemistry. Mel has less to do with the story other than give Elisa to arrive in Bliss. I didn't hate it but it did take me a week to get through. Not usual for me at all. So disappointed. Not up to Lexi's usual standards. Very thin plotline that gets summed up near the end by an ancillary character in just one conversation. Not worth the credit.
