Cameron Boxer is very happy to spend his life avoiding homework, hanging out with his friends, and gaming for hours in his basement. It's not too hard for him to get away with it...until he gets so caught up in one game that he almost lets his house burn down around him. Oops. It's time for some serious damage control - so Cameron and his friends invent a fake school club that will make it seem like they're doing good deeds instead of slacking off. The problem? Some kids think the club is real.

There are stacks upon stacks of self-help books that will promise you love, happiness, and a fabulous life. But how can you pinpoint the exact behaviors that cause you to be miserable in the first place? Sometimes when we're depressed, or just sad or unhappy, our instincts tell us to do the opposite of what we should - such as focusing on the negative, dwelling on what we can't change, isolating ourselves from friends and loved ones, eating junk food, or overindulging in alcohol. Sound familiar?

Publisher's Summary
Teens and pre-teens flock to any new offering from New York Times best-selling author Gordon Korman. Told through multiple viewpoints, Ungifted follows Donovan Curtis through his year at a magnet school for gifted and talented kids. Thanks to an administrative foul-up, the decidedly mediocre student Donovan finds himself enrolled in the Academy of Scholastic Distinction. Out of place and out of luck, Donovan joins the robotics team. And while he learns a few lessons from his gifted classmates, he also teaches a few of his own.

Ungifted: One of the best books I have ever read in my life
I think that Ungifted is a really great book. It shows a boy that once has no interest in robotics, to be part of a team that involves robots a lot! I love that the audiobook version had the different voices, so that you knew who was talking, instead of getting confused with who is speaking and who is not. I am recommending this to anyone that would enjoy a nice book that involves teamwork, and a book that involves a very good moral. This book was amazing, and I hope that people like me enjoy this book just like I did, and I hope that people read this and have hopes for another person to like the same thing.

This was hilarious
This book was really funny. It’s about a boy named Donovan Curtis and he accidentally gets in rolled at the Academy for scholastic distinction, And he hast to try to fit in. Even though he can’t even begin to process the work that they do there.
I like how this is the podcast audiobook and the way that Donovan makes friends, and enemies. I think a lot of teens, preteens, and tweens. Would really get a kick out of this book, if you like Gordon Korman’s books then for sure you’ll like this one

Super creative plot and fantastic characters
My son says this was probably inspired by a Simpson's episode, but however the author came up with the plot, we absolutely loved it. The main character has a quirky endearing personality, and all of the various chapters are told from different perspectives and we really enjoyed it. Two thumbs way up.
