Started off promising then just got weird

I liked where thus was going originally buy then when the Boston couple started talking about their relationship ie 'I learned how to change myself to he someone he would want to be with' I had to stop listening. Some of the messaging in this just doesn't jive with me and honestly seems a little wrong in general.I tried to return the book but Audible wouldn't let me....
