The first chapters are amazing when Dr Scarpetta is really active on the fields. But halfway in the story till the end it’s slow and mostly repetitive without any action. Narration was amazing though. I think Bringing back old ennemies in the story was a mistake same as having the same old threat with the cat door trap being controlled by the ennemies. It’s déjà vu and I would have appreciated something new.. not something from the former books… anyway I even have had a nice time listening to it overall. Not sure it worth a credit. Better wait a sale next year to buy it if you’re not planing to listen to it now.

Not to bad

I like all the Scarpetta books, but the Dorothy story line felt unnecessary to me. The character is extremely unlikable and I lost patience listening.

Ok, but

This is far into the Scarpetta and Lucy story. This reader seem to choose a very adolescent voice for Lucy, where some of the previous readers have had her low pitched and grim and/or masculine. I got used to the reading but throughout didn't enjoy it.

It took me a long time to adjust to the reader

great story

Story was beyond ridiculous and just kind of ended - I had to check to see if I missed some chapters or something. Rehash of characters made this eye-rollingly boring. Voices for Lucy and Dorothy were incredibly annoying. Really disappointed in this one.
