In 2016, the morning after Valentine's Day, Luke's son passed away from breathing issues complicated by congenital birth defects. He was 21 months old. And his name was Finnegan.

Through comic-book metaphors, Shakespeare references, and lilting Irish brogues, Luke tells the story of his too-short time with Finn. This is his tribute to storytelling, parenthood, and his rosy-cheeked, blue-eyed baby boy.

Heartwarming and Precious ❤️
Amazing story from an incredible father. Thank you for sharing Finnegans' story. Every life is meaningful and with purpose. Finnegan might've had a short time on earth, but it was full of love and care from loving parents who did everything in their power to help him. No doubt Finnegan was escorted by the angelic to live for eternity in heaven, with no more pain and suffering.

heartbreaking and beautiful
Thank you, Luke, for sharing Finnegan's story with us. Grief and loss can be difficult to talk about. I hope hearing this story will help people talk about their own grief.

Courageous Father Amazing Son!!!
What a story, what a storyteller! I cried and cried for the baby and his dad. As a bereaved mother, I could sympathize with Luke. 💕💕
