À propos de cet audio

Every obstetrician, gynecologist, and primary doctor caring for individuals navigating pregnancy, attempting to conceive, or in the postpartum phase should have this audiobook. It serves as an informative resource, educating new or soon-to-be mothers about potential challenges their bodies and minds may face, ensuring they don't feel isolated, ashamed, or taken aback by unexpected experiences.

I opted to author this book upon recognizing that, during my years as a mental health provider, I encountered many women navigating not only the mental health challenges associated with pregnancy, conception, and postpartum but also confronting unforeseen or less-known physical symptoms arising from hormonal shifts or overall bodily changes due to pregnancy. These unforeseen aspects have caused considerable distress in their lives, impacting their relationships, self-esteem, self-worth, and mental well-being; and occasionally affecting the bonding experience with their newborns.

Therefore, it is essential to enlighten our community about the challenges these women face and the available resources to prevent or enhance mental and physical health. Engaging in these discussions will benefit numerous women and contribute to diminishing the stigma surrounding mental health and seeking assistance.
