Publisher's Summary

How Corporate Greed, Biased Science, and Coercive Government Threaten Our Human Rights, Our Health, and Our Children

National polls show that Americans are increasingly concerned about vaccine safety and the right to make individual, informed choices together with their healthcare practitioners. Vaccine Epidemic focuses on the searing debate surrounding individual and parental vaccination choice in the United States. Featuring more than 20 experts from the fields of ethics, law, science, medicine, business, and history, Vaccine Epidemic urgently calls for reform. It is the essential handbook for the vaccination choice movement and required reading for all people contemplating vaccination for themselves and their children.

Louise Kuo Habakus and Mary Holland edit and introduce a diverse array of interrelated topics concerning the explosive vaccine controversy, including:

  • The human right to vaccination choice
  • The ethics and constitutionality of vaccination mandates
  • Personal narratives of parents, children, and soldiers who have suffered vaccine injury
  • Vaccine safety science and evidence-based medicine
  • Corrupting conflicts of interest in the national vaccine program
  • What should parents do? A review of eight advice books on vaccines that span the gamut.

Great book, good info, citations, both sides

I enjoyed this book, learned some new things such as about the anthrax vaccine reactions in military personnel- MYOCARDITIS, go figure, and an ingredient they looked into- squalene. interesting to see similarities. A lot if the other info I knew, as I've read many books and studies on this topic, many of which are listed as recommended reading in here. "Vaccination a thoughtful parent's guide" by Dr. Aviva Romm is a good one, as is "Make an informed Vaccine Decision for the Health of Your Child by Dr. Mayer Eisenstein - fantastic, a great breakdown of each vaccine, the effectiveness of each, the reported reactions, and the ingredients, awesome for making a truly informed decision (my favourite basic but thorough info book so far).
I have read most of the others recommended and I recommend most (the one by Offit is a *bit* biased, possibly because he holds vaccine patents, but good to see what that side has to say for itself)
Denial by Dan Olmstead and and Mark Blaxill is a great read; good, thorough research in that book regarding whether there truly is an epidemic of Autism. Vaccines- A reappraisal by Dr. Richard Moskowitcz is good too, haven't finished yet, same with Ideological Constructs of Vaccination -really thorough research! bigger book though, worth the time.
The other book I highly recommend if you are willing to have an open mind, is Dissolving illusions by Dr.Suzanne Humphries - a history of many diseases and illnesses and the nutrition, sanitation, hygiene and vaccinations that came about during a similar time, some illnesses disappeared with just the sanitary improvements, some had vaccines as well, but only the vaccines are focused on in most cases so important to remember, correlation does not equal causation! (all illnesses had improved sanitation etc, some had vaccines, but the ones that had vaccines it was clearly the vaccines!... ?) food for thought!

Bullshit written by a failed art major

Look the author up. She knows absolutely nothing about medicine and will rot your brain with nothing but misinformation.
