About this listen

"I could spend days listening to you talk about chocolate.”

Men and chocolate are the two pleasures Micha enjoys most in life.

His sex life has been nonexistent for some time, though. After a particularly bad hookup, he keeps mostly to himself. That leaves chocolate. Luckily, he works surrounded by the most delicious, extravagant produce in Gothenburg. Beside his job at the chocolaterie, his main source of excitement is his online friend, Magnus, whom he stubbornly refuses to meet in person.

A customer turns up at the chocolaterie one day - tall, shy, and charming. He could be just the right man. If Micha can step out of his overly safe shell, there might be not only chocolate, but sex, too. Maybe chocolate-flavored sex. And if he’s lucky, maybe even love.

I'm a bit neutral about this book. The story idea was very cute; I was excited to read it. The writing, however, didn't quite pull me in. There was no steam and the sex scene(s) were dry and had side-tangents.

I feel like the author made a valiant attempt at engaging the senses, but missed the mark; I'd have really liked to know the taste of the food, the scent of the air in the chocolate shop, etc.

The story was also very short and felt rushed. I would have liked to linger on the emotions a bit longer, to *feel* the loss of the friendship and the battling emotions. It would also have been nice to see this from both of our heroes' PsOV; I'd have liked to get into that shy man's head.

Overall, the story was cute, but didn't engage me.
