THE STORY

But finding them in the stronghold's clogged and blackened arteries may prove far more difficult than first thought, and with skaven warlocks building something deep underground – something that will cement their place in skavendom forever – Gotrek begins to wonder if he might instead find that which has eluded him these past ages – his doom.

Too inconsistent in his storytelling. Often quite competent in other stories, in this one reduced to a fumbling sidekick at times.

Seems like a great setup for the future of gotrek and all the foes he will fell, enjoyed the new side kick and i hope she sticks around for a while, intrested too see where his deminished rune will go and where that will take him seems like we are setting up for soulblight and more skaven

it's Gotrek chasing skaven through sewers, very nostalgic but that's about all it has going for it. New sidekick is very girlboss but not even mad about it I just hope they decide to keep her so it doesn't end up as a Doctor Who rotating cast of sidekicks with little continuity between books. his motives and competency are very inconsistent between the new books and it's quite frustrating when he goes from a godly force of nature in one book to someone who just gets tossed around by the antagonist with little to no explanation of how he got to that state. really felt like there's a book missing between this and the last
