Publisher's Summary

Speed, surprise, and aggression... Hit on Jackpot is go.

The scourge of the Savage Lands, an ancient dragon allied to a gathering storm of dark forces threatening the world of Ruin, becomes the next target of the most fearsome shock troops ever conceived, prepared, and trained for total war: US Army Rangers.

Deep beneath a once-fantastic ruined empire, a creature more terrible, diabolical, and malevolent than any myth ever told lies atop a vast horde of wondrous treasure and deadly magic, dreaming dreams of greed and terror. The Rangers of the Ruin will thread the dangerous trap-laden depths of a deadly desolation sinking into a foul swamp in order to get their hit on the ancient prize.

But be warned, the fight you pick with Rangers is going to be the last fight you pick.

It's Rangers vs. Dragon as the saga of Forgotten Ruin continues! Audiobook also includes after-action report with authors and Ranger quality-control advisors!

An absolute pleasure to read

These books make me want to be a Ranger. I loved how the authors did it. They seem to almost apologize for telling the story that way but they shouldn't say anything. Its great. Great fun.
There's a second part that fills in a lot of blanks. Again the authors almost apologize for it and advise that you can skip it. Well I guess if you want. If you don't like good things and had to hold your nose to endure a fantastically high caliber action epic then seriously forget you.

-And acetylene? like the bottles we had in shop class? I suppose it came from the forge. I like that you don't need to stick with standard issue gear, but anything the forge library.

a must read,,..... if you think youl like Tolkien

Awesome series ...what war mongering ancient D&Der needs...lots of twists..shits..and giggles.
Note. When Owen kills the hydra at the end scroll was epic ..what a great intro to D&d...always 1 jerk amougst a world of great DMs.
Anyways...that was my first session playing d&d...same age...wow. I... oops, we noobs killed the ruthless DM, own PC evil high level wizard in his high tower of doom...with a gaseous potion. Well it was a scientific debate...end result a dead wizard. Banished from the group. We went on to make our own world of adventures. In my top 5 series of books...and I have thousands.
